Fabulous place to visit (Book in advance!!) for an experience not to be forgotten. We were welcomed by Mathilda into her home, a superb example of a cave house, and introduced over coffee to Lucy the Little Owl. One friendly and informal chat about the sanctuary and its residents later, we met and interacted with the other birds and animals while being told about their stories. Most of them are friendly and can be handled, while others are as expected quite wild. We spent almost 3 hours with Mathilda and her "family" and could quite easily have stayed longer.
