Made the trip to the status from Corralejo...about 40 min drive....lovely scenery on route. Stopped off for a quick photo opportunity of Tindaya Mountain....great view. The status area itself has parking on bother sides of road. Great view and photo opportunities of surrounding areas...as you are on one of the highest points on the island! ...and I have to mention the numerous and friendly squirrels! Take a short stroll on the various trails in the area....and the curious nature of these little creatures will bringvthem right up to your feet! .... Once you're finished with photos etc....you can continue your drive down to the little pituresque village of Betancuria...and park up and stop for a quick coffee or...

Nice drive up some windy mountain roads to get here. The roads were quiet, not much traffic, very well maintained and stress free. The Miradors has parking bays off the road at the site. Just turn into one bay as you approach the Mirador. The views are spectacular. You can see the whole island and the ocean in the distance. Check out our pictures. There are 2 views, one on each side of the road. Both give amazing views but the one on the side of the road with the statues are the ones to see. The whole site is small but very clean and well maintained. We spent about 20 minutes here admiring the views then onto the Betancuria which is only a 10...

Nice view point but slightly windy, also busy road right across so be careful. We parked our car on designated parking space but some people just left their vehicles on the road. Plenty of paths to walk / hike and definitely worth stopping to take an ice picture of the surrounding areas. The statue itself also look impressive but people trying to touch the intimate parts and taking pictures not the nicest view if you are with children. Please bare in mind it’s just my thoughts and some might find it funny which is obviously your own judgement and I’m not criticising anyone, just putting out...
