It’s about a 30 minute walk down a track, which doesn’t sound too bad at first, but in the height of summer, it’s honestly quite rough. There’s a steep section where you have to climb down and even get over a wall, which isn’t ideal. You will have to come light handed as well, no point taking loads of stuff with you.

When we went, the place was absolutely swarming with wasps. Within 30 seconds of stepping onto the beach, I had already been stung twice. I ended up spending about an hour and a half in the sea just to avoid getting stung again. Every time I tried to come out, I would get stung again, I think I was stung seven or eight times in total, ridiculous.

The beach itself is quite small but it’s sweet enough and the water was nice, no jellyfish around at least. That said, don’t be fooled by the heavily edited photos online, the water isn’t crystal clear like it might seem.

Parking is also a bit of a nightmare, there’s only a tiny layby near the road, and it filled up really quickly, even though we got there first thing.

Honestly, I wouldn’t recommend it. There are loads of nicer spots that are much easier to get to, don’t have swarms of wasps and are more enjoyable. And if you’ve got a wasp allergy, definitely stay clear, it could be...

This area was once a beautiful and easily accessible spot, but recent changes have made visiting more difficult and far less enjoyable.

Previously, visitors could drive down a dirt track and enjoy a relatively short 10-minute walk to the coast. Now, vehicle access to that road is restricted, with a gate and a person stationed at the entrance. There’s no signage explaining the changes, which could leave visitors confused or unprepared—especially in hot weather, where the new route can take up to 40 minutes and may pose a risk for some.

About halfway down the original path, a steel gate now blocks access. The only apparent alternative involves detouring via a nearby farm wall with a cut fence, followed by another lengthy walk. This makes the area significantly less accessible.

Overall, while the scenery may still appeal to some, I personally wouldn’t recommend this location anymore due to the access issues and lack of clear information. There are many other beautiful and more welcoming places nearby that are easier to...

Long story short: all the suffering will pay off, but first you must suffer.

Park your car at the place marked on Google maps as the Parking Cala Varques. DO NOT enter the privat road which leads to the beach . It’s only for people who are living there, so you will not be able to park there.

Once you parked, you will need to take a 40 min walk towards the beach. Yes, it’s long and very hot. Bring a lot of water. The way itself is fine, some obstacles here and there, but nothing unbearable, steep or so. But since it takes 40 min to get there, the hot weather will get under your skin. It’s a cumulative effect, that brings suffering.

One you on the beach, you can enjoy it all! I was there when the waves were intense and quite high but also highly enjoyable! There is also a small bar on a beach with soft drinks/cocktails and even rentals;) This beach is nudist friendly. Stunning location!

But on the way back (if you leave when the sun is high in the sky) you will suffer again.

It’s an existential circle of enjoyment...

Juste un mot: magique! Un endroit qui vaut vraiment le detour!

The parking lot is located far from the beach, on the road. It's free and there's plenty of parking space, even on the road itself. The path to the beach is quite long and is better suited for sneakers rather than flip-flops. You can manage with flip-flops, but it's quite difficult. It's about a 1.5-2 km walk, and while the first half is nice, the second half is quite challenging. All the effort to get there is worth it, as the beach is uniquely beautiful, the water is very warm and a beautiful light blue color. There are many beautiful places to visit around the beach, but you need good shoes because there are rocks, cliffs, and it's quite stony. It's one of the most beautiful and cleanest beaches with unique warm water, no wind, and stunning views. Despite being wild and difficult to access, there were lifeguards in the water with a boat. There's a makeshift bar and umbrellas for rent. I recommend visiting.
