Amazing attraction to visit with kids. I was really impressed with the place and despite the initial narrow uphill windy road journey, it was well worth it. (Note, make sure to follow the road to the very top as there are some carparks mid-way but they are really for the other attractions like the waterfall and you'd have a long walk otherwise). There's a carpark at the top at the entrance to the park.
The dinosaurs are very realistic and the environment is really well setup. There's also a dinosaur excavation sand pit, mini-pool, small climbing frame/slide and a 3D cinema. We didn't get a chance to visit the cinema but the other reviews seem very positive about it (showings are every 30mins and there's a countdown timer to the next showing).
There's a place to get drinks and snacks but the snacks are not the best so I'd recommend going to the nearby town and visiting the bar/cafe I wrote a review of also that's a 10-15min drive.
There's also a gift shop which you'll invariably be fleeced by but it's such a good experience we didn't mind buying a dinosaur.
Mid-week in June it cost us €40 for 2 adults and 1 child which I think is reasonable given you could spend 2-3hours...
Read moreA nice trip for the kids. If you plan on seeing everything, akd letting the kids dig for bones in the sandpit, and cool off in the splash pool, you can get your money's worth from the trip.
We skipped the sandpit, played in the small play park during a bit of rain and probably spent just shy of three hours there. The kids (all under 5) loved it.
Algar was horrible to drive through. Practically single track, kids and parents in swimming costumes falling in the steep ascent. No interest in going to the town itself - but DinoPark was worth the trip. Parking os right before the venue.
We ordered some food and I think I ordered a small fries, got charged for a large fries (oh well) but got the small ones (boo). The kitchen isn't the slickest operation, it took a while to be served and then ten minutes wait for the chips and a hotdog. Prices are €2-5 for breaded chicken with chips, hotdogs, mozzarella sticks, and onion rings. It's as good as you expect for that menu.
Glad I'm not doing that drive...
Read moreMy two daughters loved it! The dinosaurs are great, they move and the dino sounds are quietly calming and relaxing. The backdrop.of mountains and Spanish countryside really set the tone! It is well laid out, clean and well cared for. If you love desert plants, or plants more generally any green fingered folk visiting will appreciate the choice, layout and range of plants. Fantastic! My eldest said it was amazing and my youngest loved it cos it had her favourite dinosaur there. We went in the late afternoon (it was nice and quiet) after a spending the first part of the day at the waterfalls close by. A family of four will cost 45 euros (our single most expensive trip) and you could take picnic there and settle in one of the many rest/picnic zones located conveniently in the shade. A three hour visit would be...
