We visited Western park during the month of August. We had a really nice day and the girls (9 and 12 years) enjoyed every single slide, however I am scoring the park with just 3 stars due to several reasons which I am explaining below. 1 - The queues can be extremely long. I honestly believe that the fast track option (10€ per PAX) is worth every single cent. With fast track you will have shorter queues and you can repeat a slide without queueing. A big advantage, however quite expensive if you go with a family! 2 - The park was overcrowded! The park should keep the capacity to a reasonable level. That would be also a good way for avoiding long waiting queues, but of course money is the driving factor! so let's have the park over the capacity and let's also sell fast-track tickets to make extra money. 3 - Food was expensive! and the prices were hidden! I have taken several pictures where you won't find a price for the food shown in the picture. That's not legal! If you plan in advance your visit, prepare some sandwiches and water, you will save some good money. A pizza was around 13€. Bottle of water was 3,6€. 4 - Ticket was pricy for the size of the park. There are many slides and we had a great day, but I payed with the fast track 34€ per adult!!! And locker, sunbeds, parking were NOT included. Some recommendations: 1 - Fast-track is a must, especially during the month of August 2 - Arrive early and you will avoid long queues 3 - Take your own food. You will save good money 4 - Bring watershoes because the ground gets extremely hot! So hot that you will actually run to find some shade. 5 - Buy tickets online to save some money

Great fun had by 3 children 12, 10 and 5 and parents. Lots of different slides to suit everyone and pools located near slide end so you can cool off quickly again. Queues were quite long for some slides. Gran Canyan slide was longest queue we stood in only to be told at the top when we were about to go down that only 4 people were allowed in the ring. This was disappointing and a sign could have been displayed easily to inform you about this. Sandals are a must to walk about in as our feet burned on the pavers (it was 36 degrees). The only problem is where to leave them whilst going down the slide! I also saw a man having his sunglasses confiscated at the top. They wouldn't even let him put them in his pocket. There are lifeguards at each slide/pool area who supervise and tell you how to go on the slide and when it is safe to go. Drinks and food were available. Smoothies or milkshakes were €7. Pancakes with Nutella were €5. Chicken goujons and chips were €17. You are able to bring your own picnic and eat it in the shade on the grass. There is a souvenir shop but we had to catch the bus so just walked through quickly nothing of much interest in it. What I did buy on the way out were pictures of us on the boomerang slide (€10). We bought our tickets online through the website and took bus 123 from Santa Ponsa. Bus cost €15for the 5 of us. They prefer you to pay by card rather than cash-you just tap you card at the box as you enter the bus for the number of people you are paying for. Expensive but enjoyable, although just as much fun was had at the beach hiring out the pedal boat with the slide on it for €15 for 1hour

We really loved this place! Pro: It is big, has several places, slides and types so you can fill your inner Child. Today is a low season, almost no one and still there were lines and some waiting time. We just returned from the line (10 mins waiting and nor moving) and went to buy th3 fast pass. It is 8 euros por person and it is for every ride... so in 1 minute we were already sliding. I really recommend it. But if tjere are too many people, you may have to wait still... i wont come in high season, you will just burn in the sun waiting forever. It has other places were you can just enjoy the sun, green áreas and the wave pool where you can just relax. There is something called the river that is just floating around everything in a small pool/river. I like it. You can bring your food, there is no problem at all with that. We brought food but end up eating icecream and waffles and thats it. We were not even hungry the rest of the day. Cons: It is expensive if you consider all the small things that are not included besides the entry: 6euros parking, 6 locker (5euros deposit), 5 euros if you want the plastic chair, 10-22euros if you want your foto, 8 euros if you want fast pass, which I recommend!!!. There is one slide (El latigo) that is a little hard on the joins and scratch your back, my boyfriend got his elbows scratch. But the rest is okay, i didnt see anything else damaged or in bad shape. The food is a menú [burger+ soda] around 15 euros. If you want a waffle Nutella is 5 euros, if you want icecream 4 euros (3 flavours). Overall we had an amazing experience.

Terrible Experience 25th June 2025

Booked tickets at 2.10pm the day before. Selected Wednesday 25th (noted this was €2 more expensive per person which was fine) paid and arrived at the park to be told tickets were for the previous day.

Had booked for 11 people costing €306 and standing at the gate with 4 small upset children had to pay full price again. Told be the staff nothing could be done even though the tickets were not used. The girl at the entrance was so unhelpful - she could see the time the tickets were booked and that they had not been used the previous day.

Had to pay full price again so another €306 - total cost for us was over €600. Finally got in and staff were so unfriendly. This staff was the most off putting of the day.

One of our party was not allowed to wear her prescription sunglasses in the small child smash pool - water was ankle deep I would have understood on slides etc. Means she could not see without them as she has severe sight issues. I explained to the member of staff that without glasses the individual would literally be blind - her response was a shrug of the shoulders.

Tried to support one of our children who is 4 years old with severe disabilities and were told adults were not allowed on the structure. This was quite literally to help him up the steps but not allowed. Meaning the child got absolutely no use at the waterpark.

I had worn a t shirt to cover my shoulders as it was 38 degree heat and a hot weather warning on the day that we were there - no not allowed either unless it was lycra. Again it would be great to understand this ludicrous rule. Children also not allowed to wear their sun hats in the small splash pools.

The floor is red hot so would recommend bringing water shoes with you unless you want 3rd degree burns on the soles of your feet.

Facilities were ok - extremely expensive. €5 for a sunbed, €14 plus €5 deposit for a locker. Food - extortionate. 17.90 for a single ham and cheese pizza.

Don't go if you want to experience the wave pool - it is on at 12pm and 3pm for 12 minutes each time and that is it. Absolutely ridiculous.

Rides turned off at 16:42 and within 1 minute we were told it was closed and we had to leave.

Trying to change children in the changing rooms with a member of staff constantly blowing a whistle telling people to hurry up. I ended up having to change my upset children with a towel around them outside.

Absolutely horrendous in all honestly- I would not recommend nor would I return.

My advice to anyone who is planning to attend here is to make sure you have read the non existent 200 page rule book and there are so many rules which are...

When looking at if you should visit Western Water Park, there are certain caveats that, confusingly, people seemed to ignore in terms of their visit that make a massive difference to your enjoyment. Firstly, it has to be a decently quiet day for you to make the most out of this trip. The lines can be long on busy days, yet on quiet days you can probably do every ride up to three times within the few hours you had. During our trip we did everything we wanted to four times, which was a total of 7 rides we were interested in. It was superb - but I can understand that, if you are coming on a busy day, you may be disappointed to only get one day on everything. Secondly, make a note of the weather. The water is very cold and if the weather is rainy most slides are open, though cold, but the moment it thunders or storms they will close until things pick up. That leaves unfortunately very little to do other than get food and hide from the weather. Finally, make note of what you’re bringing and what will be convenient. Lockers work off a deposit system in which you pay around ten euros and receive five back, which is fine, but then you’ll also need to find comfortable and safe places for things like glasses or goggles as they’re not allowed on the slides. This is understandable but a little awkward to sort. It would be convenient for them to add small areas for you to leave your glasses at the bottom of each slide so you’re not having to tuck them under stairs or in rocky outcrops. The staff are middling. Some, especially food vendors, are excellent and a credit. Others, mainly the slide operators, could do with a lot of training on enthusiasm and safety. The park is safe - these places are built to be as safe as humanly possible with or without staff, but one staff member was too lazy to push our dinghy down the slide and asked us instead to make a running jump. Odd. We have a young daughter who we chose not to bring due to her really young age. Whilst she had a nice day with the grandparents we found that, even though she is so young, there were some things she could play with and enjoy - but not loads. There are a few play areas for young children with 0.5m depth pools and a few tiny slides for children. These are genuinely great, but again there’s not enough for a full day really. Food is okay for kids but hardly varied.

Overall, it’s a superb place on a quiet day with decent weather. On a busy day it’s still good, and on a day with poor weather it ends up being close to pointless to go. I’d definitely recommend a...

29/10/23 - We arrived at the park at opening time and the car park was empty and no queues to enter the park, no complaint from us. Staff member in the ticket booth was friendly and welcoming and gave us all the info we needed.

We visited at the end of the season so we had no queues to enter any of the rides and the staff we had dealings with were friendly enough.

From other reviews I would agree a lot of the attendants (not all of them) on each ride appear to be very young and do seem more interested in their phones and talking to each other rather than paying attention to what is going on. It didn’t affect us as we only had 1 child to look after and on most times has the rides to ourselves

I can see how that at the height of the season with how the queuing system is and the inattentiveness of some staff it could be absolute carnage! Some of the facilities are a little dated and need some TLC, for example the changing rooms were covered in graffiti and toilets (no soap in one of them).

Will definitely revisit when back on the island but only towards the end of the season when it’s quiet’s.

—————————————————————

UPDATE: As promised, we revisited Western Water Park again on 02/10/24 and unfortunately I feel the need to deduct a star from my previous eating.

Firstly the good point: The changing room/toilets appear to have had a very welcome refresh and were very clean.

Other than that, I stand by my previous review about the inattentiveness of the staff operating the rides etc. The reasons for the star deduction is as follows: We witnessed a small child, approx. 18months old, fall backwards off of one of the sun loungers and bang their head on the hard ground. Obviously this is not the parks fault with blame solely on the parents, however, when we attempted to seek first aid for the child, staff members were unaware how to obtain the first aid kit. We tried multiple ride operators, locker room and gift shop to no success. We witnessed a ride operator allow 2 people down one of the slides at the same time resulting in one of the patrons with a head injury. As said previously, the young staff are far more interested in their personal lives over concentrating on their safety critical role. We witnessed a young child get stuck on one of the rides. The staff member didn’t have a clue how to rescue them, nor how to get help from other staff members.

After this visit I would be reluctant to return, however if you decide to go, make sure you are aware of your own safety and don’t rely on the staff to look...
