Magnificent views from the top. Very tough climb. You can park at the bottom of the church and start the walk from there. Potentially a 3hr round trip 5km total.

It takes an 1h and 30 minutes normally but once in a while you have to take a rest... to climb , it took us 2 hours and going back down is an hour.

A la Cruz de Priena se puede llegar desde un poco más abajo del Santuario de Covadonga, por un sendero zigzaguean por un terreno con gran pendiente. La ascensión puede ser dura para quien no esté en buena forma física, pero la recompensa en la cumbre es grande, con maravillosas vistas de Covadonga, de los Picos de Europa, del Sueve... hasta se puede ver el mar Cantábrico. Me apasiona de este rincón de la tierrina, Covadonga.

Ascenso entretenido desde Corao (hay que superar unos 600 metros de desnivel con alguna que otra rampa por pista forestal o senda con fuerte pendiente).

Si no se conoce el camino es fácil perderse, pues hay varias bifurcaciones y no siempre está bien señalizado.

El último tramo es por senda de montaña algo tomada por la vegetación, requiere mantenimiento.

Las vistas desde el vértice geodésico que hay junto a la cruz son buenas: Santuario de Covadonga, Monte Sienra, parte de la Vega de...
