Booked the 1 hour long Visita Premium for myself and 3 others - 3 massive Licor 43 fans, and one designated driver! The tour starts with a tasting of the original Licor 43, followed by a presentation in the auditorium about the history. Then there’s a really interesting tour of the museum that has loads of fascinating articles, charting the evolution of Licor 43 - from production to famous marketing campaigns. Then there’s a taster of some of the new flavours (I’m a big fan of the chocolate edition!). Following on, there’s an in-depth tour of the production process - right from secret formulation through to bottling, quality control and packing. Finally we got a demo on how to make Ginger43 cocktail and got to drink it too. I learned to put Licor 43 in AFTER the ginger ale (rookie error). Also got to try the baristo version. Our English speaking guide, Paola was exceptionally welcoming and knowledgable. I think she’s a real credit to the company. There’s a shop there, that sells all the new flavours and the original Licor 43 in various sizes, as well as lots of other gifts like drinking glasses so that you can recreate the experience at home. This was a Licor 43 lovers paradise!!! I came away with an assortment of glasses and flavours - and I was also really impressed with the branded shopping bags The cost of the tour is very reasonable and I would highly recommend it if you’re visiting the Cartagena area. I have every intention of coming back and doing the 2 hour long experience that includes fruit picking and a cocktail making masterclass.

Lovely facility, tours in English and Spanish. We did the English tour which was interesting. The female tour guide spoke quickly with a thick accent so she was hard to understand but she was enthusiastic and polite. The male who worked the bar and gift shop was very polite and friendly. They gave samples of the creme brulee and chocolate blends which were delicious. They also offered a ginger ale cocktail and an espresso cocktail. The ginger ale cocktail was refreshing, not a fan of the espresso cocktail simply because I don't like coffee after many attempts. Kids received chips and a pop. Good value for money and very good price and range of products available in the giftshop. The only con was trying to get into the facility. The gates are locked without any sign of how to enter. I called and asked for English on the directory, to which I spoke to a spanish lady. She said they closed at 4 and then after trying to explain we had booked a tour at 5 she started giving me a number and I asked for 4 times if this was a phone number or the number to get thru the gate and she just kept giving me a number. It was very confusing and not great service when you've paid for a tour. Not sure why they keep the gate closed when it's still open and no way to get in. A person infront of us also had the same issue and finally after 10 minutes a guard drove up and let us in.

Highly recommended. Sessions available in English if needed. Paula was very welcoming, Alba gave a fantastic tour of the museum and factory. Tony gave us a wonderful masterclass showing how versatile this unique liquor can be. The fluent English made it easy to get answers to any questions. Groups can be large or small, but that is the luck of the draw as a tourist...we were lucky enough to be just two of us even though a group of 60 went through that same morning. I was able to purchase liquors in the range that are not available on Australia. I did suggest that global shipping options be available at the store (it is too difficult to arrange this myself from Cartagena with limited Spanish); if available I would have bought much more! Thank you Paula, Alba and Tony and the Zamora family.

Firstly , Alba is a credit to your company. She was incredible. Nothing too much trouble. Helped with gift vouchers, booking, return taxis. She is amazing. Then the tour. Welcome hot towels and drinks, the history of the family is amazing . If you are Neurodiverse, I would speak to them first about going into the factory as very bright and loud. However, I am sure they will have a solution when you talk to them. They accommodate dietary requirements too. Then the finale. A masterclass making 3 cocktails with all ingredients laid out, followed by nibbles. It was really great and a lovely birthday present for my friend . Thank you to everyone. We were asked for any suggestions, I would have loved to pick an orange or lemon from their trees, or something botanical, just to enhance the experience of something so unique...
