Fantastic place to explore and swim. Not sure how clean the water was but plenty fish. Great ruins to explore but be careful. Some very deep holes amoung the ruins. Path to the ruins and waterfall was fairly safe but not suitable for anyone with mobility issues. Guides i seen to the path were poor. Park in the local park down the bottom of the village near the river. Walk along the very wide path across the waterfall. (car accesible but no parking) just after the bridge over the river above the waterfall their is a ruined building (shown in my picture) just after this on your right is a small path. Starts off a bit narrow then widens out and is very safe. Follow the main pathe down past ruins. You will come to a clearing above a swampy pool. continue down on its left. Around 50m after you will see the rocks at the water. Find a path across and then follow the waterfall noise. You cant really miss it unless you begin to climb. You will find a small shingle beach. Enjoy the swim and view. Gets deep really quickly but was a slow water flow and easy to swim to nearby rocks to climb and...

Salto de Chella is a beautiful waterfall with amazing views that definitely make the visit worthwhile. The water is cold and refreshing, and although the space at the bottom is not very large, it’s a nice spot to relax, enjoy nature, and even go for a swim.

One important thing to know: the trail is not well-marked. There are several paths that seem to lead to the same place, so I recommend noting your way back (taking photos or videos helps) to avoid getting lost. It’s an easy hike overall and can be done with normal clothes and shoes, but I wouldn’t recommend it on rainy days since the ground can get muddy.

There is no official parking area. Most people leave their car by the small bridge near the trail entrance, which is what we did too. If you’re planning to go, check online for directions beforehand and wear at least decent walking shoes.

Overall, the waterfall is worth it for the scenery and experience, but just be prepared for the lack of signs...

It’s a little difficult to find but it’s next to the old ruin (see picture). You follow that path, which is a little tedious at times. You will come across some ruined that are very beautiful but be careful with kids, there are random very deep pits close to the path. These can be found at various points throughout. Then you follow a small water stream down for a while (can be slippery). Lastly, you have to go around the green lake (so you go left around it, and then right). There are some parts where you might be unsure but plenty of other people are very helpful. The swim and waterfall are...
