Laguna Del Moral — Attraction in Cortes de la Frontera

Very well signposted walk from la sauceda. La sauceda has 3 different routes starting there. The laguna del moral walk starts on the right hand side of the car park near a still occupied building.

There is water for refilling at the hermita site.

I walked the 5km in half a day with my kids aged 5 and 8. They loved the climbing.

Only downside I found was the lack of toilets and therefore the wet wipes littered across the path wherever people had a need. I don't suggest for the park to install toilets as the whole walk is a big cow reserve and there is cow poo everywhere, but for anyone wanting to take this walk if you are taking wet wipes with you please bring a bag with you in which you can take your used wet wipes to the next bin. Wir haben die kleine Wanderung ca. 5,5 km unterhalb von La Sauceda begonnen und sind den Rundweg im Uhrzeigersinn gelaufen. Anfangs läuft man einen steinigen Pfad zwischen alten Eichen bis La Sauceda. Da wechselt man bald auf eine Schotterpiste und läuft Dich den tollen Korkeichen Wald. Irgendwann, kurz vor einem verfallenen Haus, geht es dann links wieder ins Gelände. Dann ist es nicht mehr weit. Jetzt im September war da natürlich kein Wasser mehr. Nur ein paar Meter von dort entfernt verlässt man dann den Wald und läuft wieder eine Schotterpiste bergab. Dort hat man dann einen tollen Ausblick auf Landschaft. Zwischenzeitlich hatten wir noch das Glück zwei Geier kreisen zu sehen. Also, wer den Weg dorthin nicht scheut sollte das...

La ruta circular es espectacular. Se puede hacer con niños en unas 3 horas y no es muy dura. Vistas hermosas! Y aunque la laguna esta seca el entorno vale la pena igual... No se puede estar ni comer en la zona de mesas del refugio que hay al final (o comienzo) de la ruta. Pero si vas en furgoneta o autocaravana puedes pasar la noche en un parking al lado de la carretera... Volveremos por la zona a hacer rutas en bici desde allí o subir el picacho... Una agradable sorpresa en una zona rodeada de tanta sequía...La unica pega la señalización... Si no tienes mucho sentido de la orientación o vas con algun gps puedes liarte un poco...
