This is a tourist trap. The waterfall is manmade and ten times smaller and less attractive than it appears in marketing materials. You can have fun painting the rock walls with the mud there:) While the waterfall is not as great as thought, the hike up there through the canyon is really great and one of the best hikes on the island. There’s also a nice campsite further up from the waterfall, with water and clean WC. Note that the hike is pretty demanding and you are going to cross the stream in the canyon numerous times, so make sure your shoes are fit for that. Parking down at the trail start is well marked and...

The Cascada de los Colores is not exactly a traditional waterfall, except after heavy rainfall, so one shouldn’t set their expectations too high. However, the true charm lies not in the cascade itself, but in the journey to reach it.

The path leads you through a partly dried-up riverbed, offering a unique and adventurous experience. Along the way, you’ll be surrounded by the stunning backdrop of rugged mountain scenery, which truly elevates the trek. For those who appreciate the beauty of nature and the joy of the journey, this destination holds its own...

Drive to Parking La Viña Take a shared taxi to Mirador de los Brecitos Hike to the Cascada de los Colores (it begins with a flat hike through the beautiful pine-forest, but after that it gets a bit hard with steep ups and downs in rocky area!) Follow the yellow-brownish stream to the Cascada de los Colores Enjoy the breathtaking view! Hike back to the parkinglot La Viña, first try walking on the riverbed and when you cannot walk further, follow the signs (easier) Approx 17-18km total hiking distance and 6hours45min for the...
