So we stared here as we where going to see the volcano that erupted in September last year.. this is where you get your last toilet break and to see the gardens which are good if you like that sort of thing .. you then make your way up to the volcano and oh my god what a volcano, everything is preserved so that you get to see it without humans messing up the landscape , you need to go with a guide as it's still smoking and the carbon monoxide can kill... depending on who you go with you can see the houses and touch the fresh larva.. an...

Il centro in sè non è male, ci sono pannelli illustrativi interessanti sulla storia geologica di La Palma ed i vari ambienti del parco. Un filmato ben fatto che illustra flora e fauna nelle stagioni viene mostrato (ahimè a bassa risoluzione) di continuo nella saletta proiezioni. La gestione del parco nazionale però è pessima. L'unico modo per raggiungere l'area centrale del parco è parcheggiare alla Cumbrecita, dove però ci sono solo 20 posti. La gestione dei parcheggi è fatta dichiarando giorno ed escursione che si intende fare, in base al tempo stimato per l'escursione viene assegnato un buono parcheggio per n ore. Non sarebbe più semplice mettere una navetta che va e viene e far parcheggiare tutti comodamente al centro? Se si arriva senza aver prenotato l'unica alternativa è camminare 4-5 km in salita solo per arrivare dove le cose cominciano a farsi interessanti (es. Cascata de los colores). Prenotato per il giorno successivo, torniamo ed il parco era chiuso per caldo e vento, pericolo di incendi. E così il giorno successivo. In Italia non ho mai visto un parco nazionale chiuso per le condizioni atmosferiche... E nemmeno così restrittivo per gli accessi. A Lanzarote il parco nazionale dei vulcani non lo fanno nemmeno percorrere a piedi (nemmeno sulla strada asfaltata). Va bene proteggere la natura ma qui ho il dubbio che si stiano solo nascondendo mancanze di fondi ed organico necessari per gestire...

Awesome place. We enjoyed the visitors centre with the exhibition and also the area around. It's also very accessible. Even by bus it's easily reachable as there are 2 bus stops (one on either side of the road, from Santa Cruz and from Los Llanos) directly in front of the visitors centre. Make sure to bringe jackets with you if you plan to hike in the region as the weather can change within a few minutes! It was very nice and the people working here are all very kind...

Solo se salva el personal de atención. Es una pena que casi en 2025 la imagen que se de al turista sea la de 1985. La proyección audiovisual es indigna para los estándares de calidad de la época, es un vídeo que debe tener 30 años y una calidad que hasta molesta al verlo actualmente. Grabar un documental con calidad decente le costaría al Cabildo 4 duros y daría una imagen mucho más actualizada. La exposición exactamente igual, a día de hoy se pueden hacer cosas interactivas que no parezcan de 1985 y que le costaría al estado “4 duros “. En el mostrador de atención te encuentras DVDs a la venta (no conozco nadie que tenga reproductor DVD en 2024). Por supuesto (esto es norma común en muchos centros de interpretación) información geológica bastante escasa (cuando creo que es lo más importante de la formación del parque) y por supuesto (esto no tiene perdón) carencia absoluta de información de la erupción del Tajogaite en 2021, han pasado más de 3 años y ni una mención (incluso el panel de erupciones históricas mantiene la del teneguia (1971) como las más reciente😓 Y asi todo, una pena que un paraje único en el mundo se está imagen de dejadez y “todo vale”. Ánimo a los trabajadores que por lo menos mantienen la atención encantadora para los que preguntamos.
