Splash Park Río Safari — Attraction in Elx / Elche

It was worth every cent/penny! Had a great day with my wife, 2 yr (free enterance) and 5 yr old. We chose the less warm day (30°C) and didn't regret it for a second. The zoo itself has al lot of palms which create shade. Of course it's still hot at the sunny places.. but hey it's summer, you're in Spain and probably on vacation so what's the problem?

The zoo isn't that big but very clean and the animals seem in very good health and shape. We went in at 10 and I think we did the zoo in 2 hours without participating at the shows. On the other hand we did take the safari-tour. Two jeeps with trailers will drive you between the animals on paths/roads you can not walk yourself. It takes about 15-20min and it's lovely! We left our stroller at the departure. If you are afraid someone else takes yours by accident maybe it's a good idea to take a bikelock. After seeing 80% of all the animals we could not hold our kids no more and went back to the parkingarea to take our swimmingstuff. You got yourself a wristband the first time you went in so you can go out without any problem. Parking is free by the way.

The Aquasplash was better than expected. We thought it would be small and for todlers only. But we were wrong; changingrooms, 70 lockers were you can put your stuff in, neat toilets, different places to buy some food or drinks, 3 little area's for the most small children, one big area with little tubes for "everyone" and 5 bigger once for children over 120cm. Two of them quite fast so I understand the restriction completly. The one big slide which you can only enter with big round pneumatic tubes was my favorourit. Despite my 5yr old was only 115cm he could go with me in a duo-tube. Lovely father-son moment. He felt so cool. The staff/lifeguards were very friendly and defintly the one who helps you enter the big slide with the tubes makes the experience superb with his enthousiasm towards the kids.

Nevertheless it was croudy we didn't had the feeling it was too much. We never had any queue.

We left at 15:00. We "only" stayed for 5 hours in total but the children's battery went empty 😀.

¡Atención, turistas! Publicidad engañosa

Quiero alertar a los futuros visitantes, especialmente a los turistas que vienen de lejos, sobre la publicidad engañosa del parque acuático en Elche, Alicante. En su sitio web, atraen a los clientes con descuentos atractivos, pero no mencionan que estas reducciones solo se aplican a la entrada del zoológico, y no al parque acuático. Es un engaño, especialmente cuando hace 40 grados y lo único que deseas es disfrutar del parque acuático.

Al llegar, descubres que para acceder al parque acuático tendrás que pagar más de 80 € solo para la tarde. Esta falta de transparencia es inaceptable. Deberían dejar claro que los precios reducidos solo son para el zoológico y no para el parque acuático.

Hago esta advertencia para evitar que otras familias se encuentren en la misma situación. Si vienes con niños, te sentirás atrapado, porque ya has hecho el viaje y será difícil irte sin comprar los boletos adicionales. Este tipo de práctica es simplemente inaceptable, así que ¡ten cuidado y no te dejes engañar

Attention aux étrangers, publicité trompeuse !

Je tiens à alerter les futurs visiteurs, notamment les étrangers qui viennent de loin, sur la publicité trompeuse du parc aquatique à Elche, Alicante. Sur le site web, ils attirent les clients avec des rabais alléchants, mais ne précisent pas que ces réductions ne s'appliquent qu'à l'entrée du zoo, et non au parc aquatique. C'est une arnaque déguisée, surtout lorsqu'il fait 40 degrés et que la seule chose que vous voulez, c'est profiter du parc aquatique.

En arrivant, vous découvrez que pour accéder au parc aquatique, il vous faudra débourser plus de 80 € juste pour l'après-midi. Ce manque de transparence est inadmissible. Les informations devraient clairement indiquer que les prix réduits concernent uniquement le zoo et non le parc aquatique.

Je fais ce signalement pour éviter que d'autres familles ne se retrouvent dans la même situation. Si vous venez avec des enfants, vous vous sentirez pris au piège, car vous aurez déjà fait le déplacement et il sera difficile de repartir sans acheter les billets supplémentaires. Ce genre de pratique est tout simplement inacceptable, alors soyez vigilant et ne vous laissez pas avoir !

Attention, tourists! Deceptive advertising

I want to warn future visitors, especially tourists coming from far away, about the deceptive advertising of the water park in Elche, Alicante. On their website, they attract customers with appealing discounts, but they don't mention that these discounts only apply to the zoo entrance and not to the water park. Son surrealistas las reseñas negativas de muchas personas. Empezamos por un alemán que se queja de que Río Safari cobre tumbonas y taquillas a 5€ cada una (igual que en cualquier otro parque o en una playa). La misma persona cuyas reseñas más recientes son en un restaurante de sushi de lujo de más de 100€ y de un safari por África.... A miserable solo le gana el señor Burns de los Simpson. Luego está la embarazada que se queja de que no la han hecho precio especial porque no puede disfrutar igual del parque. Entonces señora, los obesos también deberían tener descuento o los que tengan mal los meniscos o los que vayan con dolor de espalda, o tengan alergias, o cualquier otra condición mínimamente limitante. Si usted está muy embarazada, haga otra actividad o no vaya. En lugar de pensar que los 22 euros van para poder mantener a los animales y que el safari siga abierto, no, que me descuenten, y si puede ser gratis mejor. Bendito socialismo enquistado en la medula de la gente. Otra como el alemán. 700 pavos si se gastará en un móvil o 100 en cenar, pero 22 para dar de comer a unos animales y pagar nóminas de los del parque, por Satanás mediante, que eso no suceda nunca. Otra persona que se queja de que en verano hace mucho calor y no se disfruta igual. Entonces, reseña negativa. Claro mujer, el parque tiene un termostato que regula el clima de Santa Pola y Elche sur. Es que no se puede ser más sur normal. Otra que se queja de que no se puedan tocar mas animales. Usted señora quiere que sus hijos jueguen con un peluche. Y no, los animales no son objetos sujetos a nuestros caprichos y debilidades, aunque hayamos sometido a ese status a casi todas las especies del planeta. Los animales son seres sintientes, padecen dolor, sufren y también pueden llegar a sentir felicidad. Igual que muchos trozos de carne que creen llegar a ser personas. En definitiva, el safari y el parque acuático están muy bien. No es un zoo de lujo donde las cosas salgan gratis. Es un parque precioso, que es en sí mismo un palmeral con más de 4500 palmeras, bien cuidado, con muchos senderos para recorrer los geniales espacios de animales como primates, jaguares, leones blancos, monos, jirafas, dromedarios, el reptiliario y con estupendas atracciones de agua. Animales y personas que comen de un pequeño precio que es la entrada y los extras de la tienda, el bar o las fotos. Dinero que la gente tira a diario en comprar basura y cosas que no necesita en AliExpress, Amazon y otras mil tiendas...
