We had such a wonderful and memorable time at this little gem.

When we arrived we were the only ones there and the staff let us know that the tour was only in Spanish (we only spoke English). The staff were so kind, helpful and enthusiastic that they did the tour for us with the English they knew.

The mine itself isn't particularly large and the tour took less than an hour (although, perhaps the full tour in Spanish would be longer). It is remarkably beautiful inside and our kids loved the adventure. There are infomation boards throughout talking about the geoloogy, fauna and flora which, while in Spanish, we could work out what they were showing.

Overall I'd highly recommend a visit, certainly if you are anywhere close by. The staff are amazing and the tour very interesting and beautitful. Also worth noting the drive up to the mine has some...

I recently visited Jayona mine in Extremadura with my family and we had a wonderful time. The mine is a fascinating place to explore, with its stunning geological formations and rich history. We took a guided tour, which was led by a knowledgeable and passionate guide who really brought the mine to life. He told us about the history of the mine, the different geological features, and the wildlife that lives there. I highly recommend visiting Jayona mine, especially if you are interested in geology or history. The guided tour is a great way to learn about the mine and its many secrets. The guide was very knowledgeable and passionate about the mine and its history. She clearly loved his job and it showed in her enthusiasm...

Well this is an inexpensive visit but in reality not much at all to see we visit lots of mines and caves i would give this 2 out of 10 . Guide spent so much time just talking . 3/4 visit taken up by talking . As it has been unused for so so long nothing to see . I don't recommend . The best part was after a very quiet drive seeing no cars and green fields fir over and hour to Aracena . which i do recommend . , countryside reminded me of my...
