We had a reservation and arrived on time for our wine tasting. The person who conducts the wine tasting was running behind with a larger tour group so we were seated on the unshaded terrace and enjoyed the view while we waited for our tasting to begin. The person from the front desk brought us glasses of the first wine and then we didn’t see anyone for 25 minutes. We had to ask for the cheese and bread that comes with the experience and the second wine in the tasting. The tour group before us left but still no one from the vineyard came to talk to us about their wines. Now the sun was directly overhead and we became very uncomfortable. The woman from the front desk poured the last wine. Our guides is knowledgeable about the regional wines so he spoke to us in general about txakola wines. No one from the vineyard ever stopped by our table. We have been to many vineyards and enjoyed many wine tastings. This one was not very good and their loss because we usually buy cases of wine and ship them home.||Positive things: beautiful view and the Primus wine was good. Negative things: we felt like we were bothering them.||We were very excited about visiting the vineyard and thought it would be the highlight of our trip. It was not a...
Read moreSeven señoritas were heading to San Sebastián and wanted to go wine tasting. They asked Park Vintners in Wimbledon for advice and they said Ameztoi’s the one to try.
We contacted Ameztoi directly as we had limited time and Ameztoi was able to offer us an option outside of their regular tasting tours. We agreed a date and time and the staff helped us with a taxi service from Getaria to the Vineyard.
Once there we had a tour of the production area which was so insightful. The host was so enthusiastic and passionate about this family business which has a long history of dedication to Txakoli. She told us the whole story and we definitely made the right choice of vineyards.
After the tour we tasted 3 deliciously different Ameztoi wines and fell in love with them all. We had the light lunch menu with bonito and anchovies to go with.
The views from the tasting area are stunning and I would love to go again and stay overnight.
Overall great value for money for a 2 hour experience. Thank you for making...

The place is a winery that has acconditionated a part of the building as a small hotel. ||It was all new: a very confortable bed, a great bathroom and a peculiar but very nice decoration. ||The dinning room was great and the views incredible. Breakfast was very good and tasty. ||We had a couple of small disappointments: our room views were not over the sea and we were not received properly at the check-in. ||It is a bit expensive, but it is a magical...
