We just had an amazing experience at the winery, really special. Enrique made us feel at home and shared a lot of his stories and his life with us, plus the team volunteering there at the time of our visit was also super fun. We went for a stay for a night (which I would totally recommend), enjoyed the location and surroundings doing a bit of hiking in the river/little waterfall, then learned about the building of the winery and how they got to be as they are today, and finished with a tasting of Enrique’s AMAZING natural wine while enjoying some good tapas and food as well. It was a bit of a drive to get there, but nothing to hard - G.Maps won’t find the place properly and stop before the end, but just ignore it and continue on the road and you will see signs to the factory when you need to turn. This has been honestly an experience that I would highly recommend to everyone wanting to learn more about wine, taste some good ones but do that while also feeling at home.

Ha sido una experiencia única e inolvidable gracias a Enrique y su familia. Enrique es una persona super interesante, culto, encantador...Transmite magia y te hacen sentir parte de su familia. La visita a la bodega y la cata ha sido fantástica, todo explicado al detalle por un joven enologo de 21 años que nos dejó con la boca abierta, por su conocimiento y dedicación a su trabajo. La cena una maravilla, todos juntos compartiendo experiencias en una mesa grande en un cenador espectacular que tienen en un patio rodeado de árboles. Los vinos son una delicia, naturales y hechos con un cariño especial. La verdad, es difícil explicar con palabras lo que hemos disfrutado esta experiencia, volveremos seguro. Este texto que leí hace tiempo describe a Enrique y a su familia: Hay personas mágicas, te lo prometo. Las he visto, se encuentran escondidas por todos los lugares del planeta, disfrazadas de normales, disimulando su especialidad. Procuran comportarse como los demás, por eso a veces es tan difícil encontrarlas. Pero cuando las descubres ya no hay marcha atrás, no puedes deshacerte de su recuerdo. No se lo digas a nadie, pero dicen que su magia es tan fuerte, que si te toca una vez lo hace para siempre. Gracias

Enrico knows how to welcome his guests in the most families way.. great wine tasting with tapas.. amazing history and unbelievable what he has turned the place into.. so great with all the young people who come for a work stay from all over the world.. Our visit to the vineyard for lunch and wine tasting was truly an unforgettable experience. I booked it as a surprise for my sister's birthday, and it turned out to be the perfect celebration. The vineyard itself is a special place, filled with incredible people, delicious wine, and outstanding food. Enrique, the owner, is a remarkable person. His intelligence and dedication to this vineyard shine through every corner of this place. You can tell how much passion and hard work he has put into making it the gem it is today. In fact, I feel like if I ever face hard times in my life, I would love to come back here, have a glass of wine with Enrique, and let the tranquility of the vineyard heal my soul. We couldn't resist taking a case of their special wine bottles home with us—it’s just that good! The volunteers were also incredibly friendly and welcoming, adding to the warm and cosy atmosphere. There are truly no words to fully capture how unique both this place and its owner are. A note of caution: if you're driving, the road leading to the vineyard is a bit tricky, but trust me, once you arrive, you'll know it was...

El sábado pasé uno de los días más felices de mi vida, junto con mi mujer y nuestros amigos Juan y su esposa, Carmen, una pareja muy culta y encantadora. La idea de visitar esta Real Fábrica de Hojalata fue de Carmen porque su abuelo fue el principal hojalatero de Madrid. Esta finca está situada en un profundo valle que se abre como un cráter rodeado de verdes laderas y sobre el que discurre el río Genal. El camino para llegar a ella es estrecho, complicado y difícil, de tierra, aunque a veces, en los peores tramos, hay trozos de planchas de hormigón. Hay que circular con mucho tiento, muy despacio, con un coche alto si es posible o mejor con un cuatro por cuatro. El dueño de este paraíso es Enrique Ruiz, un hombre culto y refinado, que fue economista del Banco Mundial y recorrió medio mundo. Se enamoró de este paraje cuando vino a visitarlo. Ha restaurado los edificios de la antigua fábrica, incluida la iglesia, y plantado viñedos ecológicos de diversas variedades de uva. En su bodega, una antigua nave de laminado, cuida todos los detalles: las botellas no llevan etiqueta sino que están serigrafiadas; el tapón lo produce con el corcho de sus alcornoques y el cierre no es metálico sino de cera de abeja producida por sus propias colmenas. Nos preparó una cata de sus vinos en el jardín rodeado de palmeras y árboles frutales: algarrobos, mandarinos, naranjos, limoneros, aguacates y otros árboles de frutos exóticos que nunca había visto. La cata estuvo acompañada de un paté de ciervo exquisito, hecho por el propio Vicente. Luego, como hacía un día muy soleado y el microclima de este valle es excepcional, comimos en una gran mesa bajo la sombra de los árboles, en el jardín. Nos sirvieron los becarios que tiene bajo su tutela, un joven argentino y varias chicas de otras nacionalidades, que comieron a la mesa con nosotros. Los becarios prepararon entremeses de palitos de berenjena, empanadillas vegetales y un fresco y rico ceviche. Luego sacaron a la mesa una gran bandeja con el plato principal: jabalí asado al horno a fuego lento, una auténtica maravilla para el paladar, con una deliciosa salsa hecha también con productos de la huerta. Todo ello regado con los diversos vinos que produce en la bodega, y que yo degusté con mucho tiento, porque tenía que conducir. De postre, una deliciosa tarta hecha también por Enrique con productos de este vergel. Pasamos un día inolvidable en este verdadero paraíso, que recomiendo visitar. El agua la canaliza desde un manantial que hay en lo alto de la ladera del bosque. Es mucho más que una bodega, vais a quedar encantados, sobre todo con el trato de Enrique que ha hecho una labor de restauración impresionante....
