The story of a humble family who decided to go pro on wine production after getting good feedback from friends and neighbours.

Such a moving story but also, very surprising to see them thrive and manage to make several wines -in a traditionally non wine region- that taste really good and put up a good fight (both in quality and in price) to the Spanish northern heavyweights. White Calvente and Castillejo were my favourites with Lovelia a close third.

You'll find comments below giving bad ratings to them, such a pity that people can randomly post nonsense and get away with it. Just to be clear: this a small production cellar and the vineyards are not part of the visit as they are numerous and spread out around the Granada region, in some cases quite far from Jete.

I went with friends to do the tour and wine tasting and I found the whole experience worthwhile. Judith was an superb host and a promising entrepreneur that will surely take the Calvente brand to new heights.

Worth noting that they prepare lunches and dinners as well, as long as you book well in advance and agree on the menu and price.

It was interesting to hear the family history of the Winery but a shame that you don’t show your visitors some of the vineyards. Furthermore I think that the price of 25 Euros pr. Person and 10 euros for a child for the guided tour is really expensive. Why don’t you do it for free so you can show your wines and history to everybody. Thank you for our visit at your winery tour🍷 we are amazed of how everything is as it is and not fixed. The love and admiration of what a small idea can turn into and grow to what it is today is really impressing.
