If you like to torture yourself and reconsider your life existence, this is a great way to do it. It took me about two hours of walk over rough and rocky terrain (felt like torture of Jesus most of the path) but I must admit that the beach was really beautiful. (facts: aprox 60-70 minutes going up and around 40 Minutes going down. My watch says I made 8000 steps, but believe me, they should count like 30000) I am not really sure what I was expecting but as I got on the top of the mountain I was hoping for some slide on the other side that will get me fast down there... Was disappointed.. Nevertheless I thought that the easy part awaits, but don't fool yourself, going down may not be difficult as going up but your knees aren't going to be happy about it. 10 Minutes before you arrive to the beach, you'll see an old house with a nice lady inside who is selling beverages. She will also let you refill your water tank.

On your way back you can take some bamboo sticks that are laying on the beach. You can use them to support yourself by walking and fighting the creatures that you may encounter on your way (not really sure if I saw any or was hallucinatin by this time, but anyways better safe than sorry). If you'd like to increase difficulty, you can aim sunset for your way back, it will definitely increase the chance of twisted ankles. Pro Tip: take a lots of water with you. You can even set timer for 15 Minutes to remind you to drink it. You can also use this 15 min alarm to turn around and make yourself even more miserable as you see that you haven't moved a bit in a height in a past 15 mins. Pro+ Tip: you can use some old people as orientation for even more miserable experience. I am not sure how they do it but they are like teleporting themselves and eventually you loose them out of sight. This must be some feature which you unlock as you get older, I cannot explain it otherwise. So, best of luck and enjoy your torture on a way to...

Great day out starting with driving along the narrow mountain roads followed by a decent hike and then a rather quiet remote beach.

We parked just before the village that was about a kilometer to the start of the hike not realising that there was ample parking at the start although getting to the start involved driving along a dirt road.

The hike was nice although at one point we missed the path and climbed up the valley that made it a bit more challenging. With decent hiking gear and fitness the walk to the beach can be done in just over an hour and a half but best to allow 2 hours if it is hot.

No drinks or food available on the beach however there is a little house that sells kemonade and there was a water pipe on the beach with drinking water that aas used by campers.

Beware the tide and research the times of the tide before setting off as the second/ third beach that is nicer is only accessible at low tide.

There were people camping on the third beach and I was really envious as they had the whole beach to themselves at high tide.

My tip is to go early to avoid the strong sun but the beach is nicer in the afternoon as it is...

Fantastic, extremely beautiful beach. With two hours good paced walking distance. Not that remote that it is not found also by others, but due to the size one can feel almost alone at least on the last beach of the 3 beaches. The trail is easy to manage for everybody used to walk in mountains, not including those who take a cable car up mountains and feel like mountaineers. ;-) 360 meters elevation. About 100 meters height down from the rigde there is a cave with shadow on the right side of the trail for those in need, walking in the direction to the beach. Just big enough for one person to lay down, but space for many to sit.

The trailhead down of Tasartico is easy to find and obvious with all the signs and other cars parking there. Take at least one bottle of water with you. Down at the beach there is a pipe with fresh water. I was told it tastes minerals.

Some people stay over night. In case take care not to sleep to close to the steep walls. Guys who slept under the only palm tree told me that a stone fell just beside them and crushed the concrete roof of a closed...
