Playa De La Concha De Lobos — Attraction in La Oliva

Beautiful Island however... Remember to bring your own food, drink, changing rooms, portable toilet and entertainment.

We were told by our tour company that there is a restaurant that sells lovely paella and fish dishes local to lobos. We arrived and we were told there were no more reservations left for the day, I asked should we have booked online and was greeted with a stern no. Considering this is the only restaurant on the island and we were told we can eat here we did not bring any food.

The toilets were out of service when we went, I expect they just wanted people to do their business on their lovely island?

We did leave early, enjoyed a quick swim and walk.

Would not advise listening to tour guides?!

Nice beach with crystal blue clear water. Reminds of similar places in the caribbean. Can get crowded though during peak season. Should be a great place to snorkel. We tried it but we had more succes seeing different kinds of marine life in other places on Fuerteventura, like Morro Jable and Gran Tarajal . But because it's a cove the water is very calm and thanks the clarity there is great visibility. Even better to snorkle is the nearby Puertito de lobos (a 8 minute walk from this beach and located on the other side of the dock).

There a multiple compagnies that offer day trips to the island, all departing from Coralejo. So take the ferry and have a relaxing day at...

Wir haben einen Vormittag auf Lobos verbracht. Das Fähr-Ticket war mit 34€ schon relativ teuer, aber für hier noch normal. Die Fähre war extrem voll und es ist ja nicht nur ein Unternehmen was dort hin fährt. Außerdem brauch man für den Besuch eine Genehmigung die man sich online (kostenlos) holen kann. Den Sinn dahinter habe ich jedoch nicht verstanden, da dies nirgends kontrolliert wurde und auch deutlich mehr als 200 Personen (Anscheinend dürfen nur 200 Personen gleichzeitig auf die Insel, wegen dem Naturschutz) auf der Insel waren. Die Landschaft ist natürlich außergewöhnlich und besonders, allerdings Geschmacksache ob man so eintönige Landschaft gut findet. Die Insel ist jedoch nur auf den Tourismus ausgelegt, was ich sehr schade finde. Außerdem ist es an den Stränden zum Teil sehr überlaufen. Wir haben uns den kleinen Strand östlich des Hafens gespart, da der von den Touristen maßlos überlaufen ist. Der östliche Strand (also dieser) ist in Ordnung. Er ist relativ groß, weshalb man nicht sehr eng aneinander liegt. Der Strand hier ist ziemlich steinig und voll mit Algen. Das Wasser ist wie auch auf Fuerteventura oder Lanzarote glasklar und schön erfrischend. Zum Tauchen/Schnorcheln ist es hier natürlich auch perfekt.

Wer eine gute Alternative auf Fuerteventura will, ist mit dem Strand „Grandes Playa Corralejo“ besser aufgehoben. Dieser ist meiner Meinung nach viel schöner und angenehmer, da dort auch deutlich weniger los ist.

Meiner Meinung nach lohnt sich eine Reise nach Lobos nur, wenn man wirklich interessiert an dem Vulkan und der Landschaft ist. Für alle die sich das „mal anschauen wollen“ oder nur an den Strand wollen, lohnt sich die Überfahrt überhaupt nicht. Da ist es im Naturschutzgebiet bei Corralejo z.B. deutlich schöner...
