We have compared this popcorn to popcorn from the Lidl and have some remarks.

The beach popcorn is sturdier than other brands. It might even be too hard to chew for children and old people. I did not personally try chewing it.

The beach popcorn is noticeably whiter than store bought popcorn. Color wise, I would rate it 5 our of 5 stars.

There are black pieces in between the popcorn. They were so black that we were unable to distinguish the burned popcorn kernels from the volcanic sand and rocks.

The popcorn does not come with a bag or box. As a matter of fact, you are not allowed to bring it home. We believe that even includes popcorn ingested in the stomach.

The beach is quite hard to walk on with bare feet. It would be more comfortable to walk on if it was filled with store-bought popcorn.

September 2024: Well worth a visit to see the 'popcorn'. Lovely beach with crystal clear blue waters. Sea is extremely rough in the area so multiple signs advising not to enter the water. Plenty of place to set up for a few hours - however, very little sand (mostly 'popcorn') so might not be for everyone. Small patches of 'popcorn' can be found on other beaches - but this is something different! Long, winding dirt road for several kilometers to reach the beach - best to take a car or bike to reach here (I personally wouldn't try walking there!). No facilities or amenities in the area so come prepared with water/food etc. Two small 'car parks' at the beach entrance if arriving by vehicle. Will definitely return to see again and highly...

The “Popcorn Beach” 🏖️ About 15min drive from Corralejo and you will be pleased to see that beautiful view. Great tourist attraction. Yes the “sand” really looks like little popcorns and makes you smile when you see it. The beach is not too big but the view is very nice. Half an hour will be enough time to see and enjoy if you are just passing by as a tourist.

Noticed on the way there that some people were walking towards it. It is possible to reach it by walking but prepare yourself with water and suitable shoes. It is quite windy so have in mind some extra top clothes. I am really happy that I had the chance to visit...
