We were fortunate to receive a tour at Bodega La Araucaria during our visit to the Canary Islands. After reaching out to several wineries, Dolores kindly responded to our request for a tour and tasting.
She welcomed us warmly—along with her two beautiful dogs—and shared her knowledge of how the grapes are grown. At our request, she even took the time to show us her corded vines. Throughout the tour, her passion for viticulture, winemaking, and the wine industry was unmistakable. It was inspiring to witness a winemaker and winery owner so deeply in love with her work. Her enthusiasm was truly infectious.
Dolores invited us to sample her wines, and it was there that I experienced the best orange wine I’ve ever had—aromatic with notes of rosemary and orange blossom, striking a perfect balance.
