Absolutely horrible “beach day” experience. Not worth all the fuss and risks of accessing it via a VERY STEEP slippery path (30 - 45 mins) and high tides which makes it impossible to stay on the sand. It’s only good to take a picture from the viewpoint which truly looks good but that’s about it. This beach is not suitable for a “beach day”. Lesser but still important - no public toilet nor shower although you can use the nearby beach bar which has a toilet.

Access from parking - The parking is at the top of the hill. Walk to the beach from the parking is LONG and STEEP. For going to the beach we took the longer path hoping it would be less steep but it still was quite steep and it took around 30 mins. For the walk back from the beach to the parking we used the “shorter” path which was insanely steep and I was scared that if anyone slips they would be rolling down with all their beach stuff (bags, fridge, chairs, etc). It took around 45 mins and by the end of it you’re so exhausted that you realize the beach is NOT worth all this fuss and risk.

Beach and sand - We went around 4pm and the tides were so high that you don’t get any area on the sand available to sit on. You have to sit on the rocks and unless you sit very high in the rocks you will still be under the risk of getting all your stuff wet by the tides. If you see pictures you see a lot of sand in the beach - from the mirador it seems big but don’t believe those.

I would not count on the other reviews. It was supposed to be a calm beach day but with the misinformation about the access to the beach from the parking, having no information about the tides, etc made it the worst beach experience. We would not come to this beach ever again unless it’s only for a picture from...

Very bad experience. Parking spaces limited, steep road packed with cars parked illegally on the side and very far away from the beach. The walk to the beach from the parking was around 30 minutes. When we arrived to the beach there was a high tide, so there was barely any space to sit or lie down. The only space left was on big rocks which were really uncomfortable and the water still was coming up to where we were sitting. When going back from the beach to the parking, it took us around 45 minutes and we chose a different path which was supposed to be shorter but was extremely steep, rocky and muddy and without sport shoes is very difficult to climb. You risk falling and rolling down especially if you carry a lot of stuff. I would say it’s only worth to go there to take a picture from the top (there is a mirador there) but not to have...

Why only 1 star? This is obviously a 5 star destination but there is a parking scam by the local council. There are some, more obvious parking areas (although not many, and they soon fill up) and there are other roadside areas where there is plenty of room to park, where myself and lots of others did so, only to receive a parking fine of 200 Euros. There were no yellow lines or "No Parking" signs. On returning to the car and looking at it more closely, there was a Clearway sign that faces the wrong way and is not visible on approach. I now have read that this has been this way for many years, with no attempt by the council to make it clear. Why would they when they can scam visitors out of hundereds of Euros? Spoilt an otherwise lovely...

Absolutely stunning beach and views… the waves, caves and a tiny island around the beach Points to note: 1) accessible by private transport only. From the Parking point it’s a private 10-15 minutes descent to the beach which is partly VERY steep 2) there is only one restaurant by the beach which has good options of food and beverages 3) it’s a “clothes optional” beach. So most of the people you see around are FULLY naked. So that’s something to be considered if visiting with kids or your comfort Overall if you do not mind the descent and climb, it’s an amazing beach and all the effort is worth it

Ok it’s going to take a bit of effort but you will be so glad you did (as are we) There’s a beach bar (lunch starts at 1:30) Great coffee too. Parking is limited so get there early (Don’t park on the 👮 ) I would recommend sticking to the foot path on the way down and NOT the short cut (unless you are a mountain goat) Once you are there you will smile O M G One of the best beaches you have seen. No one cares who you are, what you wear,or what you look like . NO THEY REALY DONT so just be you and have the best day at a beach ever we loved it our best day for sure😀😁
