Far de Favàritx — Attraction in Maó

A bit of a "non-event" Long walk up and down elevated road (1.2 Miles) only to find lighthouse is not for exploring. It is a private residence and can only be viewed from outside or a manageable walk up some rocks. We visited late afternoon/early evening to ease the walk in the Heat. On the journey back they had closed the entrance to the walk up the rocks, but it is only roped off so can step over. If this is your kind of thing (lighthouses) then please do not let this put you off however there are many better...

Very interesting place, it's not crowded and Yiu can easily park the car in parking It have 20 to 30 minutes walk to the Lights_house and don't worry of you see the door is close just pass around it and there is way from behind. Many sailing boats are in that area and it have a very unique nature . Totally recommended. The security there will leave after 6 pm but still you can park your car in parking and resume . The road down to the lighthouse is closed so you have to park on the side of the road and walk. It is a 35 minute walk but through some very scenic terrain. I enjoyed the walk but in some places it is sheltered and can get very hot. The lighthouse itself is not much to look at and you cannot go up it. The views surrounding the cap are spectaculat though.
