During our Easter holiday, my family and I ventured to the Mirador Badlands de Purullena, a stunning lookout point nestled near Nerja, Malaga. Although the journey to reach the site was challenging — winding roads, steep ascents, and a fierce, blustery wind greeting us upon arrival — every bit of effort was rewarded with an unforgettable spectacle.

Standing at the viewpoint, I found myself awestruck. Before us stretched a surreal, almost otherworldly landscape of rugged cliffs and intricately eroded rock formations, reminiscent of the iconic Bryce Canyon in the United States. The sweeping vistas, bathed in the soft afternoon light, seemed to glow in shades of red, gold, and ochre, creating a dramatic and mesmerizing scene that photographs could never truly capture.

Despite the windy weather making it difficult to linger too long, the raw beauty and serenity of the place left a profound impression on us all. It’s a hidden gem that feels far removed from the bustling coastal towns of the Costa del Sol — a reminder of nature’s grandeur and timeless artistry.

He estado una vez en este sitio en pleno verano, y tienes unas vistas increíbles de esa parte de la comarca de Guadix. Una reseña que me gustaría hacer es las increíbles vistas del Geoparque del Centenario, un lugar turístico que abarca casi toda la comarca, se aprecia bastante bien todas sus características, hago un llamamiento a todos los geólogos, biológicos, paleontólogos, y todos los científicos que tengan interés en conocer esta zona. Para mí es un mirador que está desaprovechado, porque tiene unas vista increíbles y es una zona muy bonita. A este sitio también se le dice el fin del mundo, se aprecia un desgaste de roca increíble, y jn lugar fresco por las corrientes de aire. Le quito una estrella porque tiene una difícil accesibilidad, y no se puede ir en ningún medio de transporte, se dispone a él andando, por eso está bastante limpio, y solo va gente que aprecia la naturaleza y gente que le gusta la diversidad de la flora en esta región. También le faltaría un establecimiento donde poder para a tomar algo, pero claro, como no hay un camino de fácil accesibilidad, esta difícil montar algo allí. Pero no querría pensar que esto fuere un problema, ya que para la gente que le guste un paseo tranquilo, y sin alborotos está muy bien. Alomejor con un camino y un local allí, se ensuciaría o se abarrotaría de gente. Este punto de vista puede ser bueno en dos sentidos, el primero bueno para la gente tranquila y que le guste el senderismo por ejemplo, y mala para aquella gente que le gustaría ir en coche y ver gente. Muy recomendable y me llevo una experiencia muy bonita en esta zona. Incluso me gustó tanto que realicé una exposición en el instituto de está zona. Animo a todo el mundo a ir, un...
