The hotel setting, design, rooms, bar, terrace and service was superb. We’ve been many times to the bar and had drinks and shall plates which for the quality, service and pricing were excellent. We decided to stay recently, the rooms were beautiful, comfortable beds, excellent shower room, tea and coffee, spacious with plenty of space. What let our experience down was the restaurant. Not the service and setting but the quality of food. My sucking pig was great but would have preferred the traditional serving of a joint rather than a carefully crafted cut, but nevertheless very tasty. The other two dishes were corvina with pasta, the fish far too earthy taste and pasta bland and tasteless in its sauce, also the chicken very boney with little meat. Prices were high and should have delivered a better experience. The breakfast however was superb with a great choice of hot and cold food, poached eggs to order (which we didn’t know until we’d finished). My wife and her friend also booked an hour massage which was excellent. Overall we’d go again, try other dishes or go into the village for early dinner. Waking is a must here with some incredible views on the treks, we did one using Wikiloc fir around 5km, it’s very hilly so be prepared. Staff also gave us some useful tips...

Absolutely incredible stay. The hotel staff were exceptional from the moment we arrived, special thanks to Laura, Sharon, Matthew and Juan who went above and beyond to make us feel welcome and looked after. Their warmth and professionalism of the team as a whole made a real difference.

The location is nothing short of stunning, perfectly positioned high up for a fantastic vantage point over the area, with easy access to everything you could want, yet peaceful enough to feel like a proper escape. The views from the hotel, especially at sunset, are absolutely breathtaking, we found ourselves just sitting and soaking it all in each evening.

The on-site restaurant was a real highlight. The food is truly spectacular, beautifully presented, full of flavour, and clearly made with care. The room is spacious and comfortable, we stayed in the basic ‘comfort’ room which is more than enough for a very pleasant stay. The four poster bed in our room is a nice touch.

Without a question of a doubt, we’ll be staying here again. Can’t recommend it...

Very dated but okay for a nights stay. This hotel is notorious for passive aggressive reply’s to reviews so please understand my review is true.

The hotel is placed up a very difficult hill to drive up but when you arrive the views are wonderful. We get to the reception and most of the staff were welcoming except for the lady who served us who was very rude. She even told me to hurry to get to the elevator.

Our room was nice but very dated. We were right below the restaurant so it was noisy. On the balcony there were tubes and drains coming out the walls running what I hope was water out the side of the walls.

The bed was one of the most comfortable beds I have ever slept in. The restaurant noise stopped around 11 so I could still get an ok sleep.

The facilities are okay, the food was delicious but I wouldn’t order a cocktail as the staff do not know how to make them.

I wouldn’t stay there again but it was...
