Travelled by organised coach trip. Journey seemed easy, comfortable and all coaches were parked together. Remember your bus number & operator. Entrances were varied so research beforehand. Expect queues, dont get ticket out until in the entrance lanes to prevent it being stolen. There are very very basic prohibted signs over entrance gates. NO DOGS, NO FLARES , NO METAL CANS. All very basic unlike UK venues which show excellent images of prohibted items plus rules and regulations. Also their are non of these signs in car parks or routes to entrances. So be aware to have other items removed that the Contrated Security or Police decide at that moment is prohibited. Dont take metal stored sun cream, fluids, deodorant, torch etc. in your bag. It will go in the bin along with umbrella poles. You can take in 1.5 litre water , soda, non alcohol bottles. Dont try to be logical with one 6 litre water bottle instead as that will be removed. Expect language issues especially at entrances, food drink outlets. If hot weather expect long queues to get a drink and items priced high. At this Grand Prix it appeared there was bad organisation for spectators to get access to fluids. Upto 3 hour waiting times in direct sun light ! Not good service. Take as many bottles of water as you can carry. If you have not booked a Grandstand seat around Circuit then go prepared. Theres no sun cover in stands or on grass banks. Definitely a sun umbrella , a seating cushion , blanket, towel etc as ground is stoned. €14 for brolly well spent even if it has to be binned at airport. Plenty bottled water, non alcoholic fluids. Ideally in a disposable cool box with ice. Top tip if no cool box wrap a towel or 2 around ice cube bag and place to 2 plastic bags. This will slow ice melt, allow access for cubes for your drinks and if sun is too hot use the cool towel on your skin. Get food for your visit. Ensure phone charged and ear piece so you can use radio on your phone. You can then hear what's going on if you cant see a big screen. Research your Access Gate and what areas are General Access. There is not alot of extra entertainment sadly around circuit. If you go all 3 days ensure you get your ticket revalidated when you leave. If you have a set time to be at coach plan your time as you may have to...
Read moreWe drove here all the way from Sweden just to watch formula 1 , and it was epic! An experience for life and a dream come true! Unfortunately the whole visit here to the circuit was NOT pleasant at all, the parking arrangement was a complete disaster!! I didnt matter if we bought 3 day parking in advance for 50 euro , there was absolutely no good service at all from the staff. The parking staff was rude, inexperienced it seemed and the whole planning of the parking was terrible! We had seats in area F, I bought them because om the map when booking o saw the parking was right outside, but when we got there that parking was apparently to the vip... so we had to park on literally the other side of the track! It took us at minimum one hour every day just to get to our seats, we missed so many races because of this. They didnt look at our tickets but just waved us forth and forth and forth. And then when we started to wave with our tickets they showed us down another path. One time a guy saw our seats and said go to h1 or h2 and when we got there another worker yelled at us because we were not supposed to be there, and EVERY TIME WE ASKED ,WHERE SHOULD WE GO?! they just waved at any direction and said basically "not here". It was infuriating!!! It honesty made us angry every day just getting in and out of there. Day 2 on Saturday we literally moved 30 meters in 2 hours! We have never been through anything like this. Horrible, im sad to say it ruined the experience on f1. I will NEVER recommend this circuit to anyone for any events. Sidenotes: cue for the water fountain was about 45 minutes, so we missed a few extra races. A 33cl water bottle cost 3.5 euro. We had to show our tickets when leaving our seats...not just going into the area.. created unnecessary cues. To end on a good note, the staff inside, selling merch were so kind...
Read moreThe worst organisation for anything I have ever been to in my entire life. Other than on the shop stands or the entrance doors I did not see one member of staff anywhere. Queues for the toilets were extreme and you couldn’t get a bottle of water without queuing in the extreme heat and direct sun for 30+ mins. No shade near the track, all dust and stones hills which ruined our picnic blankets. Don’t even get me started on that organisation to and from the train station which they recommend using over any other mode of transport, which was a good half an hour walk from the track with some steep hills or a good 45 minute wait for a bus which went nowhere near the entrance of the track which most people needed. The queue to get back on the train or three days was at least two hours long, and much much longer for a lot of people. On the Saturday there was no orderly queue just a mass of people and not one single staff member, three out of the four of our group nearly fainted. One of our group was so bad a medic had to be called onto their Credit they did get us into an Air-conned café (although the owner did not seem impressed to have us in there) And we also saw a girl completely passed out and another have a fit due to the heat, dehydration and being in a tightly packed group for hours in 36° heat. Luckily we had seen that the facilities were great and people suggested to take food and drink in to the track, so we didn’t have to buy much other than top up on water, which was a hassle in itself. Never ever again would I go to this track, even if you paid me!! I am not one for negative reviews I do tend to be a bit optimistic about everything, but this was just dangerous and so...
