Santuario Virgen de La Estrella — Attraction in Mosqueruela

Lovely abandoned village in the borderline of the Valencian Region and the Aragón región, in a dirt road in between the municipalities of Villafranca del Cid and Vistabella del Maestrazgo. Getting to this non-habited group of houses will bring your mind to the past in a place where people used to live without electricity and in the bottom of the valley made by the Montleon (Montlleó) river to have easy access to water, although the river is dry these days. Walking on the unpaved streets of the village you'll see some houses still in pretty good condition, and the main square, with the church and the council house opposite to each other with a big mulberry tree in the middle of the square. The council house still has a drinking trough with a water tap where you can refill your water bottles, and the cats will surround you to be your best friends, especially if you sit to have a snack. The last inhabitants of the village were a couple over 90 years old that were mobilized to a nearby village as this place gets non-communicated, especially during the cold-short winter months, even more if it snows in the area. Me llamo Estrella, en honor a este lugar en el que nací, hace 2 meses pedí ayuda, a un humano que no para de subir a echarnos de comer, no viene de cerca porque tarda mucho en venir, ahora le doy las gracias , porque sin su ayuda hoy x hoy no estaría viva, tuve un parto complicado y le pari a sus pies dos de mis cachorros, y él decidió traerme a su casa a 500km, perdí a mis cachorros porque me quedaba uno muerto atravesado, me operaron y salvaron, me están tratando de fibrosis pulmonar, y e tenido la suerte de llegar a una casa donde hay 2 gatos más un hermano y una hermana esa es ahora mi manada, y por supuesto unos humanos que me están cuidando, queriendo al igual que a mis hermanos, dando cariño, mimos, gracias Carlos y Mónica x acogerme,,, con amor Estrella ... Si van lleven comida para los gatitos que aun viven allí de sus últimos habitantes, aunque van de vez en cuando a alimentarlos, hay veces que no van en semanas o por la edad el señor a veces no puede ir.
