Oh wow, Faro Touriñán, the westernmost point of mainland Spain! What a thrill. You get there after a winding drive that feels like the road was designed by someone who hates straight lines, only to be greeted by… rocks. And some waves. Truly revolutionary. I mean, who knew the ocean would be wet and the wind would try to knock you over?

There’s a lighthouse, but you can’t go inside because clearly letting tourists climb it would just be too much fun. Instead, you stand outside with fifty other people pretending to have a life-changing experience while really just waiting for the sun to go down like it hasn’t done every day since forever.

Don’t forget your camera—because if you don’t post a blurry sunset shot with a dramatic caption, did you even survive the trek? Five stars for being windy, one star for everything else. Would recommend if your dream vacation involves staring at the Atlantic while wondering why you didn’t just...

We rode bikes in the rain to get there. It was a great ride. It was very windy and not much visibility. The flowering plants and holly road to the lighthouse were very beautiful. Finding the few places where the wind was quiet on the ride made our...
