My friends took me here on my last day in Almeria for a beach day and it was probably the best beach day that I've had abroad. Swimming in the refreshing Mediterranean was just dreamy. Clear waters, pebbly beach and not crowded at all. BYO shade as there are no trees. No public toilets or changing rooms from what I saw. We brought a picnic lunch with lots of water and fruit juice. The park is huge and has many beaches and even a wee township to explore or have food and drinks (will do this next time). Parking is free (on the side of the main road). I think we left at around 8pm. A totally relaxing day at the beach and not far from Almeria at all. I'd totally go...

Top nature place where to enjoy the art of the nature with the exotic forms of the costa, rocks, cliffs. Virgin seabed full of life and very special colors.

Enjoy the natural sounds of the Cabo fe Gata: the sea melodies, the squawking of the seagulls, the song of crickets, cicadas and other fauna of the mountains of the cape.

The hospitality and simplicity of its people will leave a mark on you. In short, an experience you will...

We didn’t know what to expect and were blown away by the vast stretch of open coastline, seemingly untouched by the tourism that usually takes over at beaches. Some of the roads along the coastline (past the lighthouse) are in much worse shape than others; if you want to drive those areas comfortably, take something rugged. We watched sunset close to the lighthouse and stopped back in Cabo de Gato for caña+tapas - a perfect day.

This Natural Park is simply breathtaking! Best to explore by foot. The are numerous trails along the coast going up and down from one gorgeous beach to the next secluded cove, up you go giant sand dunes and down to an orchard of "pitas"...Please keep this please clean, DO NOT litter and leave nothing behind, thank you
