One of the most beautiful hikes I've experienced recently, this Pyrenean paradise is filled with glacial lakes, cascading waterfalls, jagged peaks, and tranquil forests. The untouched, dreamy nature and serene silence truly feel like stepping into a fairytale.
For anyone planning to visit, here’s some practical advice that might help: The route offers several trail options, and we chose the yellow trail, a 6.4 km intermediate hike that takes about 3 hours to complete. It’s free to access and manageable with decent fitness—families with children that were spotted along the way. In summer, no cars are allowed at the start of the trail between 9 AM and 6 PM. You’ll need to park at the free Banhs de Tredòs hotel parking area and either take a taxi van or walk an hour to the trail's starting point. The road from the main C-28 road at the Salardú roundabout to the parking spot is narrow, so drive carefully. Taxis cost about €5 per person (credit cards accepted) and run every 15–20 minutes, with a pause from 1:30 PM to 2:30 PM. Starting early is highly recommended to avoid midday crowds. The trail features Refugi de Colomèrs, the only hut along the route, offering toilets, food, drinks and overnight stays. Ensure you stock up on water and take advantage of the facilities here, especially during summer. This hike is an unforgettable adventure for nature lovers, blending breathtaking landscapes with a touch of...
Read moreIn summer no cars are allowed between 9 am - 6 pm. You can go up by taxis (adults 5 € and 4 € for children up to 11 years). The ride takes around 7 minutes. There is a parking next to the hotel but it doesn't take too many cars, besides especially in summer you may find a long queu for the taxi..so better go as early as possible. We arrived to the parking around 9.10 a.m. and waited around 20min in the queu. I read many comments on how easy this excursion is. Well, not as easy as some have explained before. You have to climb for about 30 min to reach the area, real excursion starts there and the shortest route(circular) is around 4 km (though climbing included) which takes around 3 hours -nonstop. There are no establishments to buy food or drinks so make sure you have enough water with you, especially in summer. It's well worth the pain, higly recommend to visit Circ...
