We spent one of the heatwave mornings here, which you could see did have an effect on some of the birds. Don’t let the fact the first aviary contains pigeons put you off, it gets better. It would have helped to have a plaque containing the type of bird the aviary contained but Google lens helped with the birds we were unsure about. The tour is in Spanish, so if you don’t understand, stay at the back and just enjoy taking photographs. The display is like many others but then we never ever get tired of seeing them and at times here we were within 1m of the bird. As for the tour, I have to say that we were left with mixed feelings. In the website it is described as a friendly place for non-Catalans, emphasizing that they welcome people that would need the explanations in Spanish, but the reality is a bit different. The two girls that gave us guidance were very sweet but the guy made it very clear that he is dissatisfied with the fact that he is "obligated" to speak Spanish because of us. It gave us a feeling of not...
