We visited several top wineries in our trip such as Pago de Carraovejas, Abadía, etc, and Matarromera for sure was the most basic and most expensive experience not worth the money (compared to the other ones). First, the information provided was on the basic side, nothing wow, and our tour guide (Virginia) didn’t go the way xtra mile to make the visit a memorable one (like other guides in other wineries). She took us through the roughest terrain, explained the basics, and did the tasting (proving at the end 3 pieces each of cheese). Our guide (I think his name was José, though I’m not completely sure) did a great job sharing the history of the winery, the family behind it, and the entire Ribera del Duero region. We walked through the full winemaking process and visited the production facilities. And of course, the tour ended with a tasting.
