This is a Tibetan style temple, sanctuary. There is an oriental-shaped stupa standing on a spacious land. This area was cultivated as a farm at the end of the 19th century. Mr. Pele Dominique, who made a fortune in trade with South America, purchased the land of Plana Novella Plana Novella, and developed this land as a farm for growing olives, wine grapes and fruits. Mr. Pele was one of the famous modernist architects at the time. He started to construct this building in 1887, in 1890 he completed it as a mansion.

However, the farm plan was unsuccessful, this mansion had been auctioned. However, for more than 100 years, there were no buyer. It was almost forgotten and abandoned. Then, the Tibetan Buddhist Foundation, which is engaged in missionary work in Spain, purchasd and revived the mansion as a sanctuary.

Renovation began in 1996, gradually turned the mansion into a meditation place and dojo for Buddhists and installed the stupa and prayer wheels.

The beauty is a form of fusion.

The temple is open to the public, and in addition to guided tours, various activities such as meditation classes and teaching of Tibetan Buddhism are...

If you're someone that needs to believe in something, or if you're an open minded atheist curious about what some people believe, then visit this place, as you'll be given an introduction to Buddhism. If you're someone interested in modernist architecture from Catalonia, then go to see the building where the monastery resides in; you're not allowed to take pictures from inside though. If you like nature and you're visiting the zone and you satisfy the previous conditions, then drop in the temple, but keep in mind that it's 6€ per person and that children might not cope with a 2 hour introduction to Buddhism. If you expect to see a traditional, tourist-oriented Buddhist temple, don't go. The score I'm giving is because of the warm and nice treat we got by the monk that guided us...
