A group of 23 of us went to the Palacete for a friend's 50th birthday party weekend and it proved to be a dream venue. It enjoys a commanding location on a hillside opposite the village of Otivar, in the mountains above Almunicar. The bedrooms were very adequate and the cooking superb: the huge paella that they prepared for us for lunch on Sunday was fantastic! The staff were always cheerful and prepared to go the extra mile for us: I can't praise them enough. After 30 minutes we rang the owner to find that she had completely forgotten our appointment and would not be able to meet with us whilst we were there. We were left extremely upset and dishearted having travelled all that way. We gave her the benefit of doubt thinking that there would be an apology of some sort to follow....but absolutely nothing. Please be warned about the terrible communication and lack of customer service if you are thinking of booking this venue as we would hate for it to happen to...
