So much fun I had to go twice! It's hard to describe just how incredible this little gem is, one of the most fantastic places I've ever been. Definitely recommend a visit! Can be compared to world renowned zoos in quality and experience for a fraction of the price. Enjoy the opportunity to interact with the most spectacular animals- birds who speak Spanish and eat out of your hand, monkeys, ferrets and lemurs that will gladly take snacks provided from the front counter for a minimal cost. There are turtles, lynx, and several creatures I've never seen before like coati and marten. Many of which were abandoned, confiscated, or rescued to retire in peace in paradise. Beautiful plants and natural, well made habitats; quite the sanitary. What makes this truely amazing is not only the quaint size, accessibility, and location in the picturesque mountains of Asturias, but the genuine quality of care that the animals receive. The staff is kind, generous, and attentive. Absolutely incredible experience overall, and I can’t thank you enough for opening this beautiful wildlife center to the public and to the animals in need. That is one of the most amazing places to visit if you are an animal lover!! They have all rescue animals there and they really need your contribution!! As they are not a real zoo they don't receive subvention from the government. The people who work there are truly amazing and you can see the love for these hurt animals in their eyes. Maybe they don't have a lot of space but they work with what they have. This is not a zoo, this is a safe haven for rescued and mistreated animals. And the only place like that that i know that will let you spend hours there just feeding parrots with nuts and fruits and you may feed lemurs in a special time during the weekend and learn their story which is truly disturbing. I love the fact that these kind of places exists and they should be cherished, not forgotten!!! So please, visit!! You will enjoy it and you will help the animals.

Very nice place to enjoy with the family. Small place where we can see lots of animals (I don't like the word zoo). Very well cared animals, many of them loose in the park, delighting the children. Tour on foot or with a guide. Picnic area along the way with vending machines with snacks. The best is the work they do taking care of the collected animals and the great maintenance they have to do without external help. There is a “sponsorship” program to help with. Due to the lack of aid, access is not very good, but there is a small parking lot at the entrance.

Como muchos comentan, el acceso al zoo es malo: una carretera asfaltada, en pendiente y de doble sentido (por donde solo pasa un coche). Nos tardaron tiempo en cobrarnos la entrada ya que dos personas por delante una trabajadora les estaba explicando todo con sumo detalle y delante teníamos unos chicos con Groupon que les tardaron en ver la entrada y por lo que veo precios mucho más bajos que los nuestros (oficiales), y luego nos atendió una chica que nos despachó en segundos sabiendo que era nuestra primera visita… El zoo en sí está bien, aunque las instalaciones son pequeñas y algo frías. Se cobra por todo y a un precio alto: si quieres visitas guiadas paga un pastón, si quieres tocar animales otro pastón… no sé si con Groupon hacen descuento con esto también… además puedes apadrinar animales. El bar se reduce a una máquina expendedora al principio del circuito. Eso sí, la variedad de animales y su tipología puede compensar la visita. De todos modos por la zona recomiendo mucho más visitar Núcleo Zoológico Tuernes el Pequeño, los animales están en un entorno más amplio y natural y la visita es mucho menos fría y también menos lucrativa (visita guiada, bar de verdad y se pueden tocar animales pagando por todo la voluntad).

¡Que sitio más acogedor! Aunque el Zoo es pequeño, y como mucho en 45 minutos ya tienes todo el recinto recorrido, el tamaño le da ese toque acogedor característico que tiene y que sobre todo es único. También, el saber que los animales son rescatados, te deja muy buena sensación general. El sitio transmite paz, estando en medio del monte y respirando el aire limpio característico de Asturias. La entrada es barata y accesible a nivel económico, siendo 8€ por cabeza sin visita guiada en adultos, y en niños desde 3 a 12 años 5€. Relación calidad/precio inmejorable. El precio concuerda con el sitio que es a más no poder. Eso sí, acceder al sitio con el coche es un poco complicado a nivel de direcciones contrarias, sobretodo si eres turista y es la primera vez que vienes. Hay una zona habilitada de merienda, donde se dispone de bancos con sus correspondientes mesas. ¡Encima tienen una cafetera! Es un sitio genial para conocer en persona variedad de animales, genial para ir con peques, la visita al sitio, ha merecido totalmente la pena. PD: Había un gatito naranja en recepción, si lo ves, no olvides acariciarlo y saludarlo! es muy majo 🫶🏻

Es un zoo de mediano tamaño, pero muy completo. La entrada son 6€ adultos y el recorrido da para casi una hora si te vas deteniendo en cada animal y leyendo los carteles. Tiene baños, bastante limpios, y una zona de merendero con máquina expendedora. Por el recorrido tiene banquitos por si quieres sentarte. ¡Ojo! Si ha llovido, cuidado con el suelo, resbala, sobre todo las bajadas. Los animales, una pasada, había un par de pavos reales, uno azul y uno blanco que campaban a sus anchas por fuera de su zona entre la gente, bastante mansos. A destacar la zona en la que algunos loros andan sueltos a su aire, se acercan a ti e incluso algunos se suben encima tuyo, no pican y son bastantes curiosos, venden bolsitas para darles de comer, se vuelven locos y van todos encima tuyo. He visto algún loro con picaje, especialmente un guacamayo. Por el resto todo genial, los cuidadores están locos con todos los animales, se nota que les cuidan. El agua todos súper limpio y todos con su comida y sus frescos. Un 10 al cuidado de los animales, sin duda volveremos!
