Where do I start... From the moment I arrived at this course I could tell it was special. Everything from the staff being super friendly, the coffee shop being open from before the first tee to grab any food, snacks or drinks. Free water and oranges. The starter giving great course knowledge and valuable information before we teed off unlike some other course we won't mention.
As you enter you have Lo Romero you'll see a driving range but you have the option of mats or grass and 3 separate angles. You'll also find a practice chipping area, a bunker area and a putting green. You'll drive up a bit further and you'll see another 2 practice putting greens and the signature hole the 18th.
The carts are comfy and modern with large screens that give you flyovers not just yardage/metres to the pin or hazards so you can get a proper idea of how to play the hole.
The course itself is immaculate and it's understandable why this is in the top 3 courses for the region. The groundskeepers are constantly maintaining the course throughout the day not just morning repairs. The greens were punched and rolled at the same time, the bunkers were pruned, raked and stamped with their name and so much during the time I was there. Now in seeing the greens being punched I wasn't happy initially but because of how they operate you'd never realise it had been done because the greens rolled fast and true. The greens are very receptive and the fairways are like carpet and fairly narrow so don't let the videos deceive you, thinking that they are wide because they mostly arent. The rough is fluffy so be careful on your takeaway.
They're currently installing a new water hazard around some of the holes that will further increase the beauty of this course.
I'm coming back to play this course again. The pace of play was good and let you fully take in the holes you're playing, have a snack or drink and continue. You never feel rushed.
They also had ex tour pro Jose Manual Lara filming for a Spanish TV show. I had to tee off in front him twice. The first ddomt go so well but the second time I absolutely nailed it which just happened to be the 18th signature hole.
All in all this course is amazing and deserves all the plaudits it...
Read morePlayed the course in great condition but! had to play behind 4 drunks who were sold more alcohol from the course buggy refreshment cart,When we complained about them taking 20 minutes to get from green to tee the management did nothing except move them on 1 hole so after 10 minutes we again were held up took 5 hrs 30 mins to finish round I play off 8 did not lose a ball so the hold ups were dreadful. On writing to course received cursory reply but the manager did not respond he obviously feels he is too important than dealing with customers problems .They told a colleague who also complained that it was not their problem to control how much people drank on the course .Once they have your money they could not care less how your day is ruined the Pits choose another course with better controls many local equal to this course ,only difference they know how to...
Read moreActually a 4.5 ⭐ Absolutely stunning course. A really nice gesture too from the lovely cart lady, who stopped and gave us all an ice cool face towel to help cool us down (37°c). The Course was in perfect condition, greens were nice and quick and responsive. The bunkers were full of nice heavy sand (very rare in Spain). All round epic course 👏👏👏 The only slight thing that let it down, for me, was that the buggy was way too slow, leading to a slow'ish pace of play and then warnings, on the buggy screen, that we were 11 minutes behind the pace of play 🙈. That and just randomly stopping, beeping away, telling me I'm off track - when I'm in the middle of the cart path. Sort the buggies out and it's 5 star all the way baby!!! Congratulations Lo Romero, I can't wait to play your stunning course...
