Absolutely Fantastic Formentor Tour – Fun for All Ages!

We recently joined the Formentor Bus and Boat Tour with No Frills Excursions, and I can wholeheartedly say this was one of the highlights of our Mallorca holiday! We were a family group of six—two young kids (2 and 5 years old), and our in-laws—and each one of us genuinely enjoyed every moment of this tour.

Let me start with the organization and logistics: While the bus was slightly late for the morning pick-up, it’s nothing to worry about—very normal, especially if you’re one of the last pick-up stops. The delay was minimal, and honestly, with so many stops along the way, it was to be expected. Once on board, everything was incredibly well coordinated.

The bus was clean and modern, with an open rooftop that made the journey feel breezy and enjoyable. No air conditioning, but the natural airflow was refreshing—though after a quick dash up the stairs at Es Colomer for some spectacular photos, we did get a little sweaty. Totally worth it though!

Es Colomer viewpoint was simply breathtaking. The views are postcard-perfect, and you’ll want your camera ready at every angle. We had around 30 minutes here, which was just the right amount of time to take in the view, walk up the steps, snap some great family photos, and soak in the stunning scenery.

Our tour guide was excellent—very sharp, well-organized, and professional. The way they managed a group of diverse ages and nationalities was impressive. The commentary was delivered in three languages (German, Spanish, and English), always in the same order and very clear. Timing throughout the tour was absolutely spot-on.

From there, we made our way to the beautiful Formentor Beach—and WOW! The water was crystal-clear, turquoise blue, and incredibly inviting. We had enough time to swim, relax, and take even more photos. The kids had a blast splashing in the shallow water, while the grandparents enjoyed the peaceful scenery and calm beach vibe. This was a definite highlight and felt like a well-deserved cooldown after the uphill photo stop at Es Colomer.

After the beach, we boarded a 30-minute boat ride that offered yet another layer of beauty to the experience. The boat was clean and comfortable. We sat downstairs on the right-hand side to stay out of the sun, and I can confirm the views were still absolutely stunning—even without going upstairs. We cruised around the gorgeous bay near the Formentor Lighthouse, passing by the private palace reportedly worth around $60 million—an amazing sight! This short boat ride gave us a unique perspective of the coastline and was a perfect, relaxing end to the trip.

In summary:

✅ Great for all ages (kids, parents, grandparents!)

✅ Professional and friendly guide

✅ Perfectly timed stops

✅ Multilingual and well-structured commentary

✅ Open-roof bus with great airflow

✅ Gorgeous photo opportunities at Es Colomer

✅ Relaxing swim at Formentor Beach

✅ Scenic and comfortable boat ride

If you’re in Mallorca and looking for a well-balanced tour that combines nature, swimming, sightseeing, and relaxation, this is it. We are so happy we booked this experience and will recommend it to anyone visiting the island.

Tip: Bring water, swimwear, sunscreen, and your camera (or phone with lots of memory). You’ll want to capture every second.

Thank you, No Frills Excursions, for a truly...

I recently visited Mirador Es Colomer and the Monumento a Antonio Parietti Coll in Mallorca, and the experience was truly remarkable. The road leading to these spots is well-maintained, but it features some sharp curves and steep inclines, so drive cautiously. However, it's navigable even with a big car, but wathc out for the parking space, unfortunately is always super busy! I recommend arriving early in the morning or late in the afternoon to avoid the crowds and to fully immerse yourself in the natural beauty of the location.

Mirador Es Colomer offers an extraordinary panoramic view of the surrounding cliffs and the deep blue Mediterranean Sea. The viewpoint is strategically located, providing an awe-inspiring perspective of the rugged coastline and the vast expanse of water. The serenity of the location, combined with the gentle sound of the waves crashing against the cliffs, creates a tranquil atmosphere that is perfect for relaxation and reflection.

The Monumento a Antonio Parietti Coll, dedicated to the renowned engineer who designed the road to Formentor, adds a historical touch to the visit. It's a tribute to the ingenuity and dedication that made accessing these breathtaking views possible. The monument itself is situated in a picturesque setting, enhancing the overall experience.

This spot is a paradise for photography enthusiasts. The dramatic cliffs, the sweeping views, and the interplay of light and shadow offer endless opportunities for capturing stunning images. Sunset is particularly magical, with the sky painted in hues of orange and pink, reflecting off the sea and creating a mesmerizing scene. For those interested in astrophotography, the minimal light pollution makes it an excellent location for stargazing and photographing celestial phenomena. To capture the Milky Way, plan your visit on a clear, moonless night during the summer months. Remember to bring a tripod and a high-quality camera or a smartphone with manual mode.

From June 1 to September 30, access by car is restricted during daytime hours, but you can reach the site by motorcycle, which adds a sense of adventure to the trip. The scenic ride, coupled with the exhilarating views, makes it a memorable journey.

Overall, Mirador Es Colomer and the Monumento a Antonio Parietti Coll are must-visit destinations for nature lovers, history buffs, and photographers. The breathtaking views, historical significance, and peaceful ambiance make it an...

Mirador de Es Colomer: A Poetic Reverie

Perched high above where land surrenders to the eternal blue, Mirador de Es Colomer is not just a place—it’s a whispered secret of the earth, A symphony of cliffs and sea, carved by time and kissed by the winds, A stage where nature performs its most romantic ballet.

The scene unfurls like a painter’s dream, Sharp cliffs plunging into an ocean of endless sapphire, The horizon blurring where the sky leans down to embrace the sea. It is a place where the sun melts into liquid gold at twilight, Draping the world in hues that stir the soul.

A Romance Written in Stone and Sky

There is magic here for lovers—of life, of beauty, and of each other. The breeze carries whispers of ancient mariners, And as you stand on the edge of this wild cliff, Hand in hand with someone dear, The world seems to stop, bowing to the love shared beneath the vast expanse.

The poetic rhythm of waves crashing against the rocks below Sets the tempo of hearts beating faster in awe, While the winding stairway to the viewing platform feels like a path Not just to a viewpoint, but to a higher plane of existence, A realm where every glance is a memory, every breath a verse.

A Sanctuary of Reflection

Yet, even for the solitary soul, this place speaks. It is a refuge for quiet contemplation, A reminder of the smallness of human troubles Against the grandeur of nature’s canvas. Here, one can whisper dreams to the wind And watch them take flight over the vast expanse.

A Note for Dreamers and Seekers

Be warned: Mirador de Es Colomer is not merely a destination; It’s a siren call for the restless heart. The steep cliffs and dizzying heights may challenge the timid, But the reward is a view so sublime, it feels like eternity laid bare. Arrive at sunset, when the sky becomes a painter’s palette And the fading light casts lovers’ shadows long and golden.

Final Verse

Mirador de Es Colomer is poetry made real, A sonnet written by the earth and sung by the sea. For the romantic, it is a place to dream. For the wanderer, it is a place to belong. For all who stand upon its precipice, It is a moment to cherish—a memory to...
