Mirador del Lirio — Attraction in Pozo Alcón

Wow. What a view. Completely beautiful and very arid and barren. You can see for miles across a valley and into the distance. Really worth the short detour from the main road. Dramatic V shaped valley that looks as if it is a mile high, with cliff like sides dropping straight down from the observatory and the little track that takes you there. And there were a number of very large birds (not sure what kind but huge, gliding birds that were obviously out hunting in the valley). It's free and it is probably has no one else there. Un lugar que no te puedes perder si vas a Pozo Alcón. Situado en un punto Geodésico a 898 metros de altitud, junto a la aldea del Fontanar. Es un punto de observación excelente, que cuelga a unos 400m de altitud del valle del Guadiana Menor.

Desde este punto geodésico, podremos observar todo este precioso paisaje: desierto por un lado y por el otro a nuestra derecha perteneciente al Parque Natural de las Sierras de Cazorla, donde el límite sur lo delimita este río.

Este visión, única es la más seca del Parque Natural de las Sierras de Cazorla. Entre tantas posibilidades se emplea este mirador como punto, de observación astronómico, gracias a la poca contaminación lumínica.

Ideal para ir al atardecer, donde la Naturaleza te regala unas vistas que te serán difícil de olvidar y si uno tiene suerte puede ver planear muy cerca, el buitre un gran ejemplar carroñero de nuestras...
