This is an amazing Geode and worth the build up to it. If you are wanting to see it book in advance as it always seems to be booked out for more than one week, unless a tour cancels at the last minute and spaces become available.
Get there 30mins before your slot.
The tour is only in Spanish so it is well worth getting the Audio guide at €3 each otherwise you’ll be lost. The tour is 90 mins but does pass pretty quickly, culminating in the Geode itself.
You are not allowed to take any pictures in the mine for some reason but your guid will take pict with their phone and you can buy them at the end for €1 and they email them to you, so it’s not too bad.
There are quite a few steps down to the final part so and only one section has a lift for the spiral staircase. So if you do struggle with mobility would be a bit of a challenge.
Well worth the wait you actually climb into the entrance to the Geode and look into it, which is amazing. Then you can get your picture st the entrance which comes out really well.
To go into the Geode you do have to wear a hair net and face mask (assume it’s to keep it clean and pure but never understood that bit).
There is a small gift shop bit they are build a new centre and you can see that it will great once done and a more established tourist destination.
So for €22 each it’s a great visit and a different day out that.
PS it’s not too cold in there, around 14 degrees so a jumper is all that you really need

We travelled from the Netherlands to Pulpì for the geoda. It was not easy to pre order tickets because the website is only in Spanish. The tour was 1,5 hour through the mine. At literally Every single meter we stopped and the guide gave information about the mine. When we finally arrived at the geode, we had only 15 seconds a person to look in the geode. Then the turned off te light so the next person could take a very brief look! It was not allowed to take pictures at all during the entire tour. The guide took pictures with her phone and we had to pay for the pictures. Like we are the moneymachine here.. obviously.. if we had a little more time te see what we came for, an hadn't stopped a houdred times in the mine, we would have seen what we have travelled thousands of miles for too see..

Una experiencia inolvidable. A parte de la geoda en sí, que es algo espectacular y una maravilla, el poder andar por unas galerías que muchos años atrás estaban ocupadas por mineros e intentar imaginar cómo eran sus jornadas de trabajo, fue algo impresionante, ahora está todo iluminado pero esos hombres trabajaban con una simple luz en su casco, y esas herramientas, cómo eran las taladradoras, que destrozaban espaldas y brazos, en fin, sólo echo a volar la imaginación y después llego a la conclusión de qué dura fue la vida del minero.
Belén, nuestra guía, nos explicó todo de forma amena y clara, contestó a nuestras preguntas. Es muy simpática.
Lo que no dicen es cómo funciona el tema fotos, y es de la siguiente manera: la guía, Belén, en nuestro caso, es la que se encargó de sacar las fotografías, ella nos decía dónde y cómo colocarnos, por unidad familiar, y cuando termina la visita, si estás interesado en tener esas fotos, pasas por la oficina y por 2€ te las envían por correo electrónico y por 1€ más te imprimen la foto que te hacen en la entrada a la geoda y te la dan con un portarretratos de cartón del mismo tamaño que la foto 12x16 cm. La verdad es que es un recuerdo bonito y la mayoría las compramos. Por otra parte es entendible el que no dejen sacar fotos porque hay unos tiempos muy medidos y no somos el único grupo que visita la geoda, en el mismo día hay grupos cada media hora, si nos dejasen hacer fotos con libertad sería un caos y no estaríamos tan controlados. La verdad es que la organización es muy buena.
Antes de entrar en la mina para empezar la visita nos dan un gorro desechable y el casco, que hay que llevarlo puesto durante toda la visita porque se pasa por galerías muy bajas y de hecho un visitante se dió un golpe y el casco le salvó de sufrir un accidente.
Y por último, si no cambian en un futuro, de momento con la entrada a la geoda se tiene un descuento, no sé de cuánto, en la entrada para visitar la sala negra, en Pulpí y entrada gratuita al castillo San Juan de los Terreros, que se pueden realizar en el plazo de 1 año.
