This is an amazing Geode and worth the build up to it. If you are wanting to see it book in advance as it always seems to be booked out for more than one week, unless a tour cancels at the last minute and spaces become available. Get there 30mins before your slot. The tour is only in Spanish so it is well worth getting the Audio guide at €3 each otherwise you’ll be lost. The tour is 90 mins but does pass pretty quickly, culminating in the Geode itself. You are not allowed to take any pictures in the mine for some reason but your guid will take pict with their phone and you can buy them at the end for €1 and they email them to you, so it’s not too bad. There are quite a few steps down to the final part so and only one section has a lift for the spiral staircase. So if you do struggle with mobility would be a bit of a challenge. Well worth the wait you actually climb into the entrance to the Geode and look into it, which is amazing. Then you can get your picture st the entrance which comes out really well. To go into the Geode you do have to wear a hair net and face mask (assume it’s to keep it clean and pure but never understood that bit). There is a small gift shop bit they are build a new centre and you can see that it will great once done and a more established tourist destination. So for €22 each it’s a great visit and a different day out that. PS it’s not too cold in there, around 14 degrees so a jumper is all that...
Read moreWorth visiting! Make sure to buy tickets in advance via website. Small groups of about 14 people taken through mines with guide. Our guide was Alfonso, what an impressive young man, knowledgeable and full of interesting facts which he shares in an engaging and humorous manner. He was patient to make sure we all got pictures and enough time to take a closer look at all the important sites/geodes. The other employees were all friendly and helpful and the “check-in” process was easy. Each time-slot/group gets a colored sticker and then a few minutes before your time-slot you are called by color of sticker. The negative reviews are of a result of poor planning or feelings of entitlement. The main attraction, the largest geode, cannot be exposed due to the fragile nature of the stone. To protect its integrity, it must be kept as is, it’s also deep within the mine, hence bulldozing the mine walls would risk damaging and toppling the mine. 100% recommend. Thank you Pulpí Geode for an...

Location: easy to find, there are signs along the (freeway) road indicating how to drive. The mine has more than enough free parking and a modern entrance where the guide is waiting for you. Report in the building and there you can also rent an Audio tour in several languages. Cost €6.
Interesting to visit an old mine and walk through part of the corridor system. Along the way explanations from a guide about the different minerals mined etc.
The corridors are passable but a bit low in some places. Someone of 185cm and taller has to bend down now and then. Fortunately, everyone is provided with a helmet. The highlight is the.......you must discover for yourself!
Taking pictures during the tour is not allowed but the guide will take quite a few pictures of the participants along the way. At the end you can buy these. They can be printed or sent to you by email at your request (good solution!).
Definitely worth doing the tour of...
