Playa de Nogales — Attraction in Puntallana

Stunning place, secluded and well equipped for such a hard reach (there is even a DIY shower with freshwater). Kudos to whoever maintains the trail with stairs and the waterpipe there. Shame on those who leave garbage in the beach, turning it into a toilet (for god sake, pack and take your wet wipes with you after doing your business!!!). BEWARE that it can be misleading with very shallow waters on the right, and drastic deep in the middle of the beach!! Strong undercurrent made us very nervous in big waves because we were careless and did not explore before we went there. Beautiful place to explore...

Sunday 21st we drove to visit this beach. It is closed due to works, the road is closed just before the Mirador. We did walk to the Mirador to look down at this beach. The view was rather spectacular. Some people did park up and walked down to the beach, it looked some distance. From the Mirador we could see people sprawled out on the beach below, despite being informed the beach was closed. It did look as if it had been closed...

This beach is extremely picturesque and dangerous due to strong currents. High clifs, bare rocks, blue ocean waves, black vulacanic sand make this place truly exceptional and breathtaking. What is unusual it's not crowded. I was there in March, the weather was perfect - sunny around 20 C and there were few people, mostly surfers. With caution I also had a bath, the water temperature was ideal. Strongly...
