Interesting. I thought that the cave dwellings is something for a small group of ecologists who express their willingness to save the planet in this way. But, according to what we were told there are 20 000 cave-dwellings in this region. I have to admit that the temperature / humidity level inside the cave was very pleasant and in fact better than inside the majority of the hotel rooms we stayed in Spain. The family lives on the ground floor. Second floor is planned for future guests and the third floor is dedicated to the museum. On site, there is also a souvenir shop (mainly hand painted, locally...

We pulled off the road to come to this place, and we met with the home owner, who was multi generation owner of the cave house we toured. Paco was very nice with lots of info on the way they built the cave homes and how long his family lives in them. They live in them today and were really interesting to see. Ground floor was currently lived in. second floor was used by his grandparents until they passed and now used as a sample living place. and the top floor was a museum of the old items his great great-grandparents lived in. really great views from the third...

A very interesting experience. The museum consists of 3 caves - mostly filled with everyday objects. For me especially touching were numerous photographs. Its worth a visit although keep in mind thats its rather a collection of objects and there is not a lot of storytelling there. The owner speaks some English, there is also a pottery shop there. The view from the observation deck was stunning. Ticket was 3.5 euro.
