A really interesting nature park a short distance outside Rojales. Well worth a visit for walks and some great views from some of the higher points.

Also very interesting for the lakes on the site, purpose built to store storm water and irrigate some parts of the park. Makes for a very lush and green landscape. There are interesting explanatory signs around the site to explain the why and the how of the system, but I couldn't help thinking more could be made and said about the innovative approach to water management in this part of Spain.

In any case, it's still a great place to spend some time to unwind with the scent of pine and lavender in the air and sound of the breeze through the trees...

Not been to park for a few years now. What was a waste land has been transformed into a well maintained community area with paths, ponds, seating and public BBQ facilities. Went on a Saturday and was amazed by the number of families enjoying cooking and eating together. Park backs onto natural area with good circular trails for hiking and mountain bikes. Take Google maps as I find it disorienting in the outback circling the high ground and it is easy to end up further away than you planned. Lots of parking and great views across flat lands to the sea...

El Recorral Park is a hidden gem and a perfect spot for a relaxing day out. The natural surroundings are beautiful – with walking trails, shaded picnic areas, and peaceful ponds that attract a variety of birds and wildlife. There’s even a great play area for kids, making it ideal for families. A lovely, tranquil escape that’s perfect for all ages – highly...

Parque Recorral is situated in Ciudad Quesada part of the Village of Rojales. The park offers protected land offering extensive walking or just a place to enjoy picnics and bbq's with free bus areas and stone benches and tables. Plenty of trees and shade. There is now a new extensive series of lakes, very pleasant to walk around. Every May Rojales has the Saint San Isidro festival in the park. Fantastic chance to experience local dancing, singing and free giant paella.
