Whether or not you agree with bullfighting this reserve is definitely worth a visit. Desire was an excellent guide, she made sure that the information she was giving us was appropriate to the audience (there were small children in our tour). We got to understand the breeding, the selection and the training of the bulls in a beautiful setting. The bulls, cows and horses certainly appear to have the best life here and are respected and looked after (especially when you think about how we treat animals that are bred for food). We were lucky to meet Raphael the owner and matador, who stopped for photos and showed us the way the matador works the capes. We would have paid more to spend longer to learn and see more, especially if we could have seen the older larger bulls. We have been to a Corrida once, and whilst we wouldn't do that again, this tour completed the circle and we will return if we're here again.
