The park is quite nice in itself, although it does lack a bit of decoration. The shows are funnier, and involving the audience is actually a good idea!
However, a question for those who manage the park: Aren’t you ashamed of the pitiful state your animals are in? The horses are limping and covered in bleeding wounds. Do they have nothing to eat or drink? The poor donkey has a leg in terrible condition and should be retired to live out his days peacefully.
We took some photos that we will send to an animal protection organization.
My final question is this: Where does the €25 per person you charge tourists go, if not towards the care of the animals? Lining your pockets while your horses slowly die and your goats and cows aren’t even properly fed is disgusting and inhumane.
SHAME ON YOU. Edit: following the owner's response
You accuse me of not being sincere in my approach, so I’m attaching the photos here to support my claims. Our approach is genuine, and we find it completely unacceptable that lame horses are made to participate in a show while carrying a 70 kg person on their back.
Furthermore, one of the performers had to swap horses with the one playing the role of the "Indian" because that horse was clearly limping.
Here is the list of our observations:
The black horse, which appeared to be in the best shape, had hooves that were far too long.
One of the bay horses (dark brown) was severely lame.
The grey horse was borderline lame, with a very irregular gait, and had aluminum foil (alufilm) under its eye.
The second bay horse also seemed to be limping, with a damaged right hind leg.
The harnessed donkey had aluminum foil on its left front leg, apparently to cover a wound.
The bay and white pinto pony was clearly scratching the top of its tail excessively.
The blond-maned Shetland pony had a swollen eye.
And I’m only referring here to the horses used for riding by the actors and tourists.
Now let’s talk about the so-called “wild” horses used during the herd release:
A bay horse had swollen, watery eyes.
Two horses showed signs of sweet itch (dermatitis), one of them with an open wound, scratching so violently against the fence that we thought it might break.
A foal (or possibly an old horse—it was hard to tell) was emaciated, covered in dead hair that wouldn’t shed, and clearly had an unkempt mane.
If you call this animal welfare, then clearly, we don’t share the same definition. If you call this horse rescue, something is seriously wrong. You don’t subject animals that are supposedly “rescued” to such conditions when they are in such poor shape.
My partner has worked in several stables, and this is by far the worst treatment we have ever witnessed.
It’s time for some serious self-reflection. We will be forwarding our findings to the relevant animal welfare organizations.
Good luck...

Read moreHonestly this just wasn't a place for me. I'm sure many people enjoy it a lot more, and there seemed to be lots of families that did, in fact, enjoy themselves. Families with 5-11 year olds is probably the target demographic. There isn't much to do between the shows for adults who do not drink or ride horses(for allergy or weight reasons). We went through the whole "city" in about 20 minutes and honestly would have left if we didn't want to give the shows a chance. First, the magic show was kind of lackluster and made me uncomfortable. I can't put a finger on why, but it did. I'm sure the beer helped some patrons enjoy it more. There was too much time between the shows for our liking, but again it was probably great for families who could pet the animals and ride ponies, or parents who drank beer etc. We spent about 10 minutes in the gift shop, which was great for families. The toy guns, leather vests etc. were really cool and I would have loved them as a kid. After that we were idle for at least half an hour, since we had already seen everything. The second show(bank robbery!) was better than the magic show, but they used kind of grass and obvious humour that wasn't our thing. I get that they had to so that people who don't speak Spanish would have fun too, it just wasn't my thing. After the show there was going to be free time AGAIN and we just had enough. None of the later shows sounded that interesting and there was really nothing for us to do. We walked out, wallets significantly lighter and not that much richer in other ways either. My friend did get some decent shots of the horses and buildings at least.
As a warning for pregnant women, people with bad legs/knees/ankles etc. the ground is mostly sand and can be pretty hard to walk on. If you use a wheelchair or a rollator I suggest you skip this place entirely.
In summation, great place for families with 5-11 year old kids, kind of cash grab, not for people with physical...
