A truly memorable experience. A must see for all the family.

We took bus 45 from near the plaza el hierro location straight to the park with no issues. You can buy return ticket (4.40€) or a single ( I think it's 2.50€) pp. Young infants go free.

You arrive right outside the park entrance. There is car parking on site for people who hire cars and there were taxis waiting as well.

There is a covid vaccine check and ticket check before entry. You can buy tickets at the location. You may have to show proof of age for children less than 3 (who go free) unless obvious! I think there is a couple of euro difference if you book online but your ticket is not valid on actual day of booking. Mask wearing signs are all over the place but policing is not strict by any means. Take your pictures properly and at leisure.

I would recommend getting there between 11-12 because you can see the organised shows and wander around to see the other animals/birds and reptiles in good time. The Dolphin and both bird shows ( Exotic and Bird of prey shows) were very enjoyable for all the family. Get a picture of yourself with a Dolphin you simply have to! I liked the fact they used the Jerusalema remix track during the dolphin show! Very memorable track and adds to the terrific experience.

The Bird shows were also very enjoyable. See the Eagles, Macaus, strutting their stuff. Only word of warning is that the young lad presenters are mixing Spanish and English translation when explaining stuff. If you want to understand you need your hearing sharpness turned up.

Another word of warning. Give yourself good time to walk from Dolphin show 1.30pm until start of Bird show 2.30pm. It is a lot of uphill walking so don't stroll to look at all the animals/birds for too long ( like we did :))

I didn't think I could take a picture with a Komodo Dragon and live to tell the tale but I did and I am pretty sure he smiled!! Thank you to team Palmitos for a...

We booked Palmitos Park as something a bit different to do whilst on holiday in Gran Canaria. We took the bus 'Global 45', which goes straight there (one of the few journies you can get a return ticket). Was a bit uncertain if kids would enjoy it, and when we saw the park map we actually thought we would struggle to make a whole day of it - this wasn't the case, we could have quite easily been there from start to finish. We saw four shows, an interactive show featuring some parrots and other animals, a birds of prey show, an exotic birds show and a dolphin show. All the shows were very good. The park generally follows a route round, great amount of varieties of birds plus a few others like Meerkats, Gibbons, Armidillos and Crocodiles (as well as the Dolphins).

The park is built in a canyon area and whilst the paths are good, there are a few hills to go up and down. At points, if busy, you can get a bit caught within groups of people but generally, it seemed to clear quickly. The bit that let the side down a little was the pure need for purchasing additional 'extras' which were not particularly cheap (after already paying a fairly pricey entrance fee). There were a few 'photo' areas where you can later purchase the photos, but there were also photo areas where you needed to pay straight away. If you purchased photos at each opportunity, you probably would have easily spent an extra 100 euros...! The snack and food bars are also fairly expensive, so be sure to pack yourself some drinks and snacks (there are picnic areas).

We had a lovely visit and as mentioned, could have stayed till it closed quite easily, but we were worrying about making sure we got the bus! Really worth a visit just be mindful of the extras that you might end up being...

Long 1 guy's. This was the highlight of our holiday!! We had problems with the pc at our hotel so just decided to pay ob the gate. €30 for me and €22 each for my girls. My eldest is 10 and only just she was measured on entry at 139cm had she been 140 i would have been charged full adult price for her. The dah cost a fortune with the extras but money bought forever memories and keep sakes. We were pictured with parrots on entry option to buy €8. Posed with loads of parrots climbing/sat on buy option €10. The dolphin show was our reason for visiting and did not disappoint. The extras there were €90pp for 30min encounter in the water. €60pp for 30mins encounter at the edge. None of these to my daughters disappointment could i afford for them. Last option was a photo with them 1 for €20 or 2 for €30. This is what we went for and i we got our photos before the show my girls were lucky enough to be chosen to take part in it . They were over tbe moon with this. Given their wet suits and sat watching until it was time for them. They were helped into a small boat and pushed along with a trainer by a who the jumped over their heads. We had the best day with the best memories. Down side was the walking in ths heat its very hilly take plenty of suncream and water. Snacks are available but again pricey. €2.50 for small tub of pringles same again for small cake. It all adds up take lunch with you if can. It cost us €14 return on the bus. Yes i...
