Great science museum, very interactive and awesome place for kids or science geeks. Parking is readily available on the streets around the museum (and it's free). Everything in the museum is only in Spanish, so be sure to download the English "app" promoted on the entrance (there's a QR code you can scan for it) - it's actually a PDF that has all the information translated to English. The museum looks small at first glance, but it'll take you a good 2-3 hours if you're interested in reading and doing all the experiments. A tornado tunnel and living a Mini car are among the fun stuff you can do. The museum has long working hours (until 8pm) so great activity for a windy / rainy day.
Very nice and also very interactive exposition with a lot of simple physical experiments, focused mostly on fundamentals of mechanics and optics, also a few brain teasers, and a lot of about planets, solar system and Universe. There are no labels in English though they lend you at least an English textbook that contains information about the major part of the exposition. Some machines are very old and not working properly. Very interesting short movie 'We Are Stars' is available for 1 euro per person in the planetarium. Basic entrance for adult is 5 euro. It's not big at the first sight, yet we've spent about 3 hours there.
July 2021 situation update: Three major problems: - due to Corona situation only small part of museum is accessible to individual visitors (not groups). - if you want to visit the exhibitions you need to book a guide - but it’s only available in Spanish language?! - all descriptions and writings are in Spanish language only thus worthless for non-Spanish speaking visitors. Staff is friendly but speaks less English than my 10-year old. Positive: - take a picture at the huge radio telescope on the roof; - free admission to the small part of museum which is accessible to everyone.
Truly a curious museum. It was quite educational as for me or as for any other person, I believe it’s for all ages. It has many educational reading, as well as activities,( there is a planetarium for the price of 1€ per person), many stands where to press something and see what happens,… It was great. Its a combination of a museum of Fisics and astronomy. The prices were 2€ for child residents, and 3€ adult. 5€ for a non resident, child 3€, but there are times from certain hours it free. It was a great afternoon. Truly recommend
What a great place, with lots of interactive exhibits. The volcano exhibit was cleverly put together and with curtains to walk through made the suspense even better. You can get translations of what you are seeing and audio guide if you sign onto their WiFi, good to remember earphones if you struggle translating the Spanish. I got lost in the maze of mirrors, lots of geology, physics and astronomy thrown in. Biology and Chemistry take a bit of a back seat, but that suited me. Great value at 5€ for an adult.
