Great location for hiking and walking at all levels of experience. Relatively flat routes or exciting climbs, it's all within a few km of here. The road up to the Puerto has recently been resurfaced so it's in superb condition (2024) but be aware the road is windy and long with little in the way of crash barriers (but it is spectacular). It's likely that the sign below the final climb will say the road is shut, however the sign doesn't get updated. Read moreSin duda, uno de los puertos más bonitos de Asturias, y eso que tenemos para escoger. Las vistas de "Les Ubiñes" son magníficas. Desde el puerto, se puede ascender fácilmente, aunque con un poco de fondo físico, a los picos que jalonan el paso de montaña (los primeros que nos encontramos hacia el este, Pena Tolondra, 1.768 m, y L'Almagrera, 1.931 ofrecen unas vistas increíbles). El ascenso por la vertiente asturiana es largo pero tendido.
