Had a great hour or so at the botanical gardens. Had no idea what to expect when first going in, if you're into the mechanics of plants and trees and sea minerals, you'll love this. Batteries from plants and lights and sound created by the plant piano is amazing to see. Our tour guide was so friendly and funny, there's so much they are doing to expand, I will definitely like to come back in a couple years to see how much more has grown and changed, take the other reviews with a pinch of salt, the gardens has only been open 2 years, cut them some slack, what they're doing is amazing in a place where there's so much party it's great to see something like this 🥰 there's also a submarine tour we were told about but unfortunately due to covid we cannot...
Read moreWe had a wonderful visit at the gardens today. It is a very well designed, built and staffed facility. The plantings are well done and well labled. We had a multilingual guide who led our group in both English and Spanish. She was very friendly and had a good knowledge of the local botany. The organization owns much more land than they have used, so the offerings will continue to expand. My suggestion for another garden would be to focus on the Mediterranean food plants from as far back as is known to the present. This could include the original native plants that sustained paleolithic peoples. Moving on in time, early grains, early cultivated olives and other early forms of wild and crop food plants would be interesting to see. I highly...
Read moreWe really enjoyed our visit last week. We had a rental car so had no trouble getting there but be aware of the entrance to the side of the main road. We were allowed to join a guided tour that had already started and Tony the guide recapped for us at the end anything we had missed at the start of the tour. They do a lot of good work there all relating to green and organic processes and sustainable development in many areas. For us the plant piano was the highlight of the tour. We didn’t go in the planetarium so can’t comment on that. Tony was very informative and a great communicator which really was a plus. I would highly recommend a visit to the botanical gardens near San...
