For foot of the lighthouse and the view from the cliffs look for Far des Moscarter (Punta des Moscarter is an incomplete route at the end). At the very end of the route if you spot the sign the says Far del moscator, that is correct. It will lead you to a small parking space. There is a bit of a walk (paths can be mucky if it has rained recently), quite straightforward. After about 750mt you are suddenly treated to the view of the water (almost like the end of the earth). There aren't any barricades so you have to tread carefully. If you continue to walk along the left side, you will reach the foot of the lighthouse. To the right, more of cliff side views. The view is magnificent.

It is a lovely hike to the lighthouse. You can either start from Portinatx or go further from Portinatx town and park the car in the small parking nearer to the lighthouse. From there it is a 1.3 km hike. From here, the hike will start inland, however after 10-15 min walk you would be doing cliff walk and will be treated to some of the best views in Ibiza! Please do take care that at some points the cliff walk is narrow. However the hike is easy and safe. This particular lighthouse is the tallest anong the network of 20+ lighthouses on the islands of Ibiza, Mallorca and Menorca.

Another excellent walk on the island in early March. Have stayed and been to the north of the island but never walked up to the lighthouse, such a peaceful and pleasant walk. There were other hikers on our way back as we set off early and it seemed to be a popular walk, lovely views and I highly enjoyed the different experiences this time around. Make sure to carry on past the lighthouse and further down to the hidden crystal beach, a solid 2-3 hours walk there all round. Highly recommend if you want some downtime on the island. Solid A***** LDT x

"This graceful lighthouse is in the vicinity of Portinatx and is decorated with a black spiral. Its 52 metre tower makes it the tallest lighthouse in the Balearic Islands. You can often spot its silhouette as you reach Ibiza by plane but not many travellers know that there’s a pleasant walk leading up to it. The Moscarter lighthouse was built in 1978 when there was no longer any need for a lighthouse-keeper, so the building doesn’t have the usual outbuilding used as the keeper’s living quarters that older lighthouses have."

Amazing and remote place. Good to watch the sunset. To get there the road is quite bumpy and at some stage you have to park your car and continue walking. After this it goes into the forrest but there are some arrows marked on the stones pointing the direction. Once you see the lighthouse you just continue through the forrest which seems to get thicker and thicker but keep going.
