This is the best place to enjoy the sunset on the island. I suggest keeping track of the weather or you will be disappointed and also be there one hour before the sunset because it can get very busy. If you are bothered by loud tourists (there are a lot which is really disrespectful to others who just want to enjoy the sound of nature) I recommend stopping on the way there (TF-24) and watch the sunset in complete silence and feel connected to the nature. We stopped 5 minutes before reaching the mirador and as we opened the car door all we heard was silence and it felt like being outside of the world. Read moreThis is actually a lovely viewpoint with beautiful views of El Teide volcano and the north coast of the island, most of which is under the clouds. However, it's overrated as a sunset spot because you're relatively far from the volcano. Also, far too many people secure the best spots an hour before sunset. Cars are parked along the side of the road from the main road to the turn-off, so you have to walk a long way.
Pro tip: There are more beautiful spots to watch the sunset on the TF-24 within the national park that aren't so crowded. From these spots, you can see El Teide with the setting sun...
Read moreHey! The spot is the best and the worst viewpoint. The best because, of course, you see sun setting above the clouds with Mount Teide in the background. The worst because is so many people coming there that I would recommend you to be there 3 hours before at least. Nearly no parking is available right before sunset. I'm glad I enjoyed sunset in the other spot, and I came there right for the end. People are loud, children and dogs running around, cars trying to get there, for me nightmare.
