Estadio La Cartuja — Attraction in Santiponce

Great Stadium, i visited for the first time when it was turned into a Fan Zone for the Glasgow Rangers fans to watch the Europa League Finale vs Eintracht Frankfurt on the big screens. Stadium is massive and looks well, from the outside it looks more like a conference building rather than a football stadium! Only downside was the kiosks were not well staffed or stocked tried to get some water just after half time and I was told they had none. With the extreme heatwave we experienced I expected them to be well stocked with something as essential as Water! Not sure if that was the stadium staffs fault or the organisers of the fanzone and uefa etc. Great day right up until leaving the stadium, very minimal security staff, I think I seen 2 or 3 stewards when leaving the stadium, and lots of police in riot gear. The police then caused mass panic which resulted in a stampede with a lot of injuries, thankfully broken bones are the worst I seen or heard about nothing short of a miracle that nobody died during this. Este estadio ha mejorado mucho, es verdad, se debe felicitar a los responsables... pero dista de ser un lugar adecuado para acoger una cita mundialista (o concierto de artistas top). Cierto es que se ubica donde Cristo pegó la tres voces pero...

Entre las áreas de mejora (basadas en mi asistencia a la final de la Copa del Rey de ayer).

.- Transporte público: el C1 de Tussam alteró su ruta habitual, tuvimos que bajarnos cerca del Edificio Expo (para los que sean de Sevilla, ya saben que tus 45' minutos de paseo mínimo no te los quita nadie hasta llegar al Estadio). A la vuelta, ni un C2 en la C/ Américo Vespucio (el famoso refuerzo yo no lo vi por ningún lado). .- Accesos al Estadio: tercermundistas. Si te toca ir a Fondo Norte, debes bordear el estadio por carreteras mal asfaltadas, aceras inexistentes, pistas de tierra... Tardas para llegar, tardas para acceder... como dato, es sabido que el Estadio está compartido entre Sevilla y Santiponce. Bien, pero no deja de ser curioso encontrarte una señal de tráfico de "Sevilla" con una franja roja... es como decir "tienes que andar tanto que hasta te sales de Sevilla" .- WC en el estadio, escasísimos. Lo de ir en el descanso era una bulla que ni en Semana Santa. .- Señalética Interna: muy deficiente, muy mala señalización, apenas se ve el número de fila, los números de asiento regular. .- Cobertura móvil: muy deficiente. Hay tecnologías para solucionar esto, pero hay que rascarse el bolsillo para contratarlas y desplegarlas (al precio que estaban las entradas, debería de dar de sobra). .- Césped del terreno de juego: Arenero. Levantaba mucha tierra. Ideal para lesiones, alguna hubo ayer (no sé si por culpa del césped). .- Falta que pongan, aparte de las dos mega-pantallas existentes, algún video marcador que rodee el anillo, en que podamos ver mejor en qué minuto estamos, etc. Le daría un toque de modernidad, me sigue pareciendo un sitio algo "rancio".

Supongo que a este estadio le falta continuidad. Se utiliza poco, luego le faltan mecánicas. No termina de ofrecer una experiencia plena.

En el lado positivo: la amabilidad del personal en los accesos y los que te orientaban en el interior. Iluminación y visibilidad (al menos en mi localidad, que era bastante alta y esquinada en el fondo norte).

Van mejorando cosas, sí, y se notan. Pero aún falta. ¡Ánimo a las instituciones implicadas!, del interés que pongan en ello podrán mantener esa suerte de "sede permanente" de la final de copa. Si no lo hacen, cualquier otro estadio les...

I was over to watch the 21/22 Europa League final and missed the entire first half because they had the most incompetent staff I've ever seen in my life. As a long time hospitality worker I'm not quick to criticize fellow workers but they were absolutely terrible. Didn't have a choice but to wait for the water due to the heat. People were having their order taken then the staff would just wander around staring into space and "serve" someone else. At least they didn't shut the water off at this stadium like the did at the...
